Mikhail Grabovski

This Kid rocks, and seeing how these threads pop up everywhere, might as well try a Grabovski one.

Well if you wannt talk draft picks? A top 3-7 draft pick in this years draft. If you think about it, I think this is actually a pretty fair trade.
Grabovski for Gaborik

I may be flamed but Gaborik can't survive a season but he is very talented. Grabovski is a top rookie, may even win rookie of the year hes on pace for about 40 goals. He probobly won't reach that but he will get 60+ points and around 30-40 goals. He is very talnted

Maybe a late 1st (20-30) but he probably wouldn't fit well on any team that would be in that range.

considering his age and potential, i agree its very high. hes also a lot safer than a pick since we've already seen what he can do

considering age and RFA (vs UFA) status, id say its higher

many UFA rentals go for that value

No. Grabovski could not get you guys Gaborik, unless it was part of a bigger deal.

Gaborik for Grabovski? Even with a small chance Gaborik re-signs that is a sweet deal for you guys. Gaborik is one of the most talented guys in the league and I think his point totals could get even higher in a place besides defense-first Minnesota.

And he is not returned Hedman, Tavares, Paarjarvi, Schenn, Duchene, Cowen or Kane (my top 7 for 09) thats just nuts

Uh, whoa. We've seen what he can do over the course of 25 games. I don't see how that makes him "a lot safer than a pick" at all. In fact I'd be wary of a player who allegedly gave his former team the ultimatum of trading him, or losing him for nothing to the KHL.

Grabovski is worth a low 2nd or high 3rd rounder.

I'd like to hear your reasoning for that. Are you perhaps among the same group of people who think Captain K > Crosby?

are you crazy? have you even seen him play? hes 1st in rookies with goals (10) and 4th in points (18) and only in his early 20's...how often do you see a third rounder score 30 goals and 60 points

Mid 20s.

If you honestly think he can land you Gaborik, then you're out of your mind. Him plus other stuff, yes. Him alone, no.

He's not even on pace for 40 goals as of right now.

Grabo was a 5th rounder 150th overall.

In his rookie season? Well Michael Ryder comes to mind. Except he was an 8th rounder.

It would depend on the team. Teams hurting for offence may give their first round pick but most likely he's worth a 2nd rounder, or a comparable player (young top 6 player).

His value is on the upswing.

Reasoning : he disappears against a good defense, he's probably the easiest guy to send on his back in the league and pouts if he doesn't get the icetime he wants.

But he's very skilled, no denying that.

2nd rounder or late 1st.

He's almost 25 and will be a UFA in 2 years. In a sense, you can say he's close in value to a 20-25 (vet) goal scorer who will be a UFA soon.

Impossible, he was traded for a high second rounder and a fifth round pick
how has his value gone down?

Ya, Toronto just got really lucky, pretend last season he was on MTL playing like he is this season, how much would you trade him for?
MTL is just angry they gave him away
