LaBarbera deserved a win. He had a solid 45 mins for sure.

that's why I disagree with the shootout. Was that really a win for the Oilers? I mean, they can collect all these wins in a skills competition when they are an inferior team on the ice

I don't understand why Labs didn't poke check the puck when his stick was 6 inches from it and instead backed his stick up. Oh well, he did a good job coming in to that game cold and let the Kings get back in it.

Well that was a battle right to the end, so you got to hand it to the Kings for a great come back.

The Kings scored all of their goals in one period......so the obvious answer is....yes the Oilers did win this game.

Just in case you are keeping score at home, the Kings have now lost a 3rd period lead in 3 consecutive games.

I hate losing to that spineless goaltender, blows a 3 goal lead and wins in the only way he can, in the gimmick shootout. What is that guys record if you take away the gimmick. I'm so happy he isn't a King anymore, tonight sums up his career pretty well, any kind of adversity and he collapses like a house of cards.

I am proud of the way the Kings fought back tonight, with Terrible Murray coaching you know they were going to lose, but I like the core of this team.

Still depressing to get a total of one point out of these three games having a lead in the 3rd in all of them, but with lousy coaching you are going to get games like this.

Just curious, the Labs temper tantrum was beyond entertaining. Does he always do that? It was pretty great from a neutral fan standpoint.

And yeah, pokecheck.

I'm pretty sure that was what upset him. Either that, or falling for the same deke 2 times in a row.

Poor Labs... He is just not a 1 on 1 goaltender, he is not aggressive enough. But the worst performance in that shootout was Kopitar, not Labs. I swear he has been in every shootout this year and he has done the same flick the puck at the net and do nothing move every time... I say we have Fro, Brown, Sully from now on. Kopi needs to prove he is an offensive player again before he is given any responsibility like that...

Well, it was a nice comeback attempt... But still disappointing nonetheless.

Yes.

Give each team a point and play 10 minutes of 4 on 4. If no one scores, its a tie.

The shootout is a stupid gimmick.

I agree.....his moves have been less than inspiring......He use to be the master of dekes.....now he seems he can't do anything right...

why kopitar was in the shootout at all was beyond me

and I really feel for Labs. I know it sucks to be scored on, especially in the same way.

It was that and he knew he let the guy make the moves to push him back into the net. Next time you'll see him more aggressive on that move.

In all fairness.....if the Kings were on the winning side of most of their shootout's everyone here would love it. That said I think Murray needs to spend more time working with the kids on their moves.....last season the Kings looked great in shootouts....this year they look horrible.
