U.S. has a really good team this year. Could be the year they take it home...Sweden and Canada will have something to say about that though.

The thing that may be hard for them is the 7th man.

I haven't seen Blake Kessel but he must be pretty decent if he beat out Carlson, and Cade Fairchild is definitely adequate if he's the 7th man. The rest of the defense looks good. I don't think it's a problem. I mean, PK Subban isn't a world-beater, he did OK, but he's nothing sensational.

Why should it be any different for Sweden?

Canada will definitely get an advantage playing in their home country, but still, they beat Sweden last year in Sweden. IMO, best team will win. If it's really close the crowd may put Canada over the top though, no doubting that.

Damn, unless Matthias and a bunch of other guys get sent down to Rochester, they're going to be hurting badly if they lose Repik to the WJC. I'm not sure if he's still eligible. I think he may be but I don't know the exact cutoff date. Anyways, he'd certainly be going.
