Congratulations to Saku Koivu for another milestone

Tonight he passed Mats Naslund to move into sole possession of the number 11 spot on the Canadiens all-time-points list

I thought this major accomplishment definitely deserved recognition

Does he also have 11 Stanley Cups? One this year would be nice for him though. He has endured a lot and deserves it for the effort he gives night in and night out.

I've always been a big Saku Koivu fan but I never thought I'd see the day where he joined the top ten point getters in Habs history and here he is, just 11 points away from entering into a really select and elite group. Gives me goosebumps thinking about it and I'll be counting down the points until Saks makes the creme de la creme.

Unreal.

Congratz Koivu. one of the best captains we ve ever had, on and off the ice. Hes contributed so much for this team, a great player and a man with a huge heart and great leader ship. He`s sure showing everyone who has ever said that he was a criminal, or not a good captain because he doesn`t spreak french.

Looking at that points list, 8th all-time looks achievable.

I for one, hope so.

The top six on the list have their numbers in the rafters, so here's hoping Koivu can finish his career in the top 7, and see his number go up as well.
