He flung himself right into the crossbar. It was pretty obvious to me what he meant to do. Of course, the Habs should've put the puck in the net long before that, but if they'd managed to score on a quarter of the chances they've muffed in this one, the game would be over already.
Our PP is so weak, especially at home, that it makes it imperative we have a top half PK. If our PK ever slipped into the bottom 15, it would be an alarming thing. It's hard to gauge teams sometimes. 2 years ago, this was the same unremarkable PK (actually worse though) but it had a deadly PP and was useless 5-on-5. Now when it's ES, the Habs are lethal and going up a man hurts them. Reminds me of the Sabres who despite being goal scoring machines from 05-07 there, actually never had a top 5 PP and sometimes really struggled on the man advantage.
