Habs owning it right now. As a Flames fan, im impressed. Kipper and Halak are being awsome. The Flames owned for about 15 minutes in the first and got owned by 15 minutes in the 2nd. The Habs are creating more quality scoring chances and caught the Flames running around in the 2nd.

Good luck in the 3rd.

It's more like 80's hockey... Bring back Mullets too.

How is pushing the net off not a penalty?

People should just stick with realistic things that could happen....Brisebois will NEVER be waived. The guy is just about to play his 1000th game in the NHL and has the chance to do it here. Clearly, nobody is going to wave his ass just before he achieves that goal....We're stuck with Breezer till the end of the year.

Big deal, getting the lead for Montreal is no impressive feat, keeping it is something rare.

Probably too many games in a row for Pat.
And you defend better than he does, that's for sure (this despite you knocking him!). Breezy couldn't defend a "Le Goalie" placed in the offensive zone with a puck on his fake stick. I hope that doesn't extend to his real life cause if it's true I wouldn't want him backing me up in a verbal disagreement! He will always be known as a scaredy cat too, for his refusal to even make physical contact with a player who's bothering a teammate (not standing up for Halak being hacked at in the 2nd reminds one of his "Why did you do that?" stare after McLaren nearly decapitated Zednik).

That's the type of player Plekanec is. He'll never be a physical, rugged type...but he has to find a way to play his skill game against physical teams and I think he's done that reasonably well tonight. Like I said if Kipper doesn't make a brilliant skate save off that chance he had, we wouldn't be talking about this...

But yeah he has been horrible on faceoffs tonight. The whole team has, actually. I think we were at 22% halfway through the game?

Lol, did you see the replay of Gorges's choke on the open-net ? I can't believe he missed that. This is one of the reasons why I don't see him ever becoming a good offensive Dman. I may be wrong and it may be a question of confidence, but I seriously don't it.

Mostly Kovalev double-shifting.

Edit: sorry misread your question. I saw SK and Kostopoulos on the fourth line before Higgins got hurt. With Higgins hurt, Kovalev is double-shifting and everyone else has moved up a line.

When Komo is healthy, I think it's a good idea to waive Breezy or whatever you can do. It's time to force his retirement I'm afraid. Nothing personal, it's just I now would rather we have O'Byrne and Dandy alternating the last spot on defense and if Dandy is out long-term, make Weber the 7th d-man or the guy in the press box ready for his shot. Make Breezy our team ambassador to auto racing. He can go work in F1 with a driver who'll ride the car officially promoted and sponsored by the Montreal Canadiens. Now THAT is his calling!

Whenever Lang talks, I'm always surprised...he just doesn't "look" like a guy who would have such a heavy accent (and the fact that his name looks so English plays a part too).

Anyway this is like my fifth post in 10 minutes about Lang so I guess I've just got a mancrush

Kovalev has been a beast tonite. He's doing all the heavy lifting. I'm not normally a fanboy but he's going into corners against a pretty nasty and physical defense and winning battles and creating opportunities. I hope he scores in the third, he's earned one.
