PGT: Habs extenguish the Flammeches

The little eastern girls somehow beat the real hockey players from the big bad west.

Now we can enjoy the victory!
Too bad I was at work till 9, and it took me an hour to get home... stupid weather!

I'm happy for D'Ago, 4 goals in 4 consecutive games.

Welp, the Habs have now won their "season-defining" franchise-record homestand... with 2 games to go in it. 9 points out of a possible 10 so far, not too shabby.

Nice win.

Halak made Carbo look like a genius for starting him tonight. He was terrific.

Not sure that was a 4-1 game in terms of play, but we rebounded nicely after a shaky start.

Great game by Tanguay - Lang - Kovalev. Lang especially was just on fire tonight.

Another solid night for AK46 - Koivu - D'Ago as well.

4-0-1 homestand. The atrocious Tampa Bay Lightning here on Thursday, please no let down.

Mike Keenan = loser. Get over it, Phaneuf is fine.

I agree with post #0 (the op I guess).

Big bad west huh... reading the posts in the NHL board u would think that a western team would decapitate all our players and we'd be too scared to play the puck.

As long as Markov is kicked out of the league I'll be happy. How dare that dirty Ruskie try to hit a good ol' Western Canadian boy.

We had the defense down pat earlier this season.

I think we have the offensive depth to compete with anyone. It's a question of getting the right mix to unleach it (like we've been doing lately).

Why was Phaneuf shaking his head? Did he feel that Markov should have been injured on the play?

Shaky first period, but Habs adapted and played a strong game, nice to see the PK solid for a change.

I hope BGL is in the lineup for the return of engagement

wow This hasn't reached 2 pages yet..

Andrei Kostitsyn is our #1 offensive threat these days, #2 is Matt D'Agostini; rookies.

Discuss?

(yes we can discuss how Koivu is making MD an NHL player too)

I just hope we can keep 2 offensive lines clicking at once... maybe the 3rd one eventually but we can start with 2!

Funny how Koivu's rookie wingmen four years in a row have all done well.

Higgins, Lats, Sergei, now D'Ago.

Go figure, huh?
