Edmonton also selects in place of Thomas Holmstrom...

Jarret Stoll.

He is the most underrated player in the NHL today. He can shoot and win faceoffs.

The Montreal Canadiens are pleased to select the biggest steal in the draft considering this is an ATD.

out of burnaby BC, one of the best centreman to ever play the game, perhaps one of the best wristshots ever.

#.19 JOE SAKIC

I picked him 7 rounds ago in the 7th round. You really think he would fall that far?

Philadelphia selects LW/RW Scott Hartnell. A line of Lucic-Arnott-Hartnell will flat out be a pain to play against, as the line averages 6'3" 215, and they are all very willing to smash. All three are very mobile players and we feel that this is the perfect 3rd line. They are all solid defensively and have good offensive upside.

I'm pretty sure that it's my turn. Philadelphia selects C Mats Sundin. Pulling a fast one on everybody, with Sundin expected to choose which NHL team he'll be with on Thursday, Mats will be coming back to the ice. He may not be the type of player that we were looking for, but with his skill set still available at this point in the draft, it was a more than obvious choice.

Every player in the NHL right now is available.

Are those elgible picks? I would've taken Sundin a long time ago if they were but figured it wasnt.

I dont think those guys should be eligable either, just dont seem right or they would be gone long time ago. This is something that a salary cap also would of prevented.

I am going to wait on putting in Forsberg and Sundin as they were not signed when we started this draft

Just going to wait on camper for his ruling.

So what? Forsberg said the playoffs as well and only with Colorado.

Personally, I would have taken Sundin about 5 rounds ago maybe even earlier, so I don't think it's fair when most of the GM's thought they were inelgible.

It says currently signed WHEN THE DRAFT STARTED!

Clearly neither of them are...not even right now.

Well, Sundin is signed now so it does not apply to me any more.
