I'm still trying to figure out how Markov's hit was dirty? It seems to me, Markov is going in trying to hit Phaneuf, Phaneuf sees him and tries to cut inside, Markov's skate hits Phaneuf (who was already unbalanced trying to cut inside) and Phaneuf falls

Tripping? sure...knee to knee? Not even close

I just watched it again and I have no clue why people are crying about it.

I wouldn't count Bruins fans as "people".

Anyone else notice Kovalev has gone back to his Gold Warrior two piece shaft? He was using a white Warrior one before. Think that may have had something to do with his shooting? He did place a much better game last night.

That's true, he was using the grey one but now he's back with the gold one.

I wonder if Iginla would of called the whole Habs bench after the Brisebois "skirmish" if Laraque was sitting on that bench...

Yea.. what I thought..

Exactly, it was one guy. Let's slow down on the generalizing.

No where in my post was I generalizing.

I said one Flames fan - I didn't come to a conclusion based on this one fan and decide that all Flames fans are morons...Did I? Show me in my post where I did that?

Some fans are overreacting to the hit and I find that confusing considering it wasn't that bad of a hit.

Even if he still did, what would of Laraque done?

The answer is absolutely nothing.

People ragging on Phaneuf is hilarious.

Despite being over-hyped he's still a talent and is only 23. There's a lot of time for him to round out his game. Big deal, he's not a cyborg and has some weaknesses.

I don't know.. Laraque won't go after Iginla just like that, but if Iginla is calling him out, I don't think he would hold back. He's asking for it...

I guarantee you he would hold back.

He had a chance to put Gomez through the boards with a clean hit in the Rangers game but didn't even touch him.

Laraque won't touch top liners with either his fists or his shoulders.

Well he was THIRD in Norris voting last year, the hype and talent should be there right now if he's considered the third best D in the league.

Im a big Iginla fan....the guy is awesome, but make no mistake, Big Georges would kill him in a scrap (if he could get that visor off!).

Kinda puzzled why Carbo would sit BGL against a physical team like the Flames, but oh well no harm done and it was a nice win.

Different situations.

If Iginla wants to go, Georges will go with him. Iginla can take care of himself, although he'd obviously be outmatched in this one.

Georges isnt much of a hitter due to his lack of foot speed.

I feel that a game of Habs vs Flames @ Calgary won't be the same.........

We'll need Laraque then

He probably did, I just noticed other players a lot more than Sergei last night.
