I suppose that's true. Every March, the Nitty fluffers disappear just like their boy when they realize he's the back-up or a reason.

Lupul just smeared Pitkanen into the boards. Was waiting for that to happen for some time.

Period ended way better than it started. This is winnable and they will do it. Also, slow-mo replay of Harts beating that rookie into a pulp

Because I see the hat on Berube's head: Did anybody notice that Riles gave his postgame interview after the Islanders game with a Phantoms hat on? Found that really weird.

That's what I meant. I thought they skated a little harder and showed overall more effort and were quicker on the puck.

Hey they made it to the Eastern Conference finals under Stevens. They normally have a decent breakout, just when they don't break out or don't skate they lose. I don't know how you can put the blame on Stevens outside of motivation. Breakout comes down to the players.

But there were a lot of people who were all over Biron for being beaten similarly by Patrik Elias a few days ago. It does seem inconsistent at times.

I agree. Either you complete a twenty foot pass, or you don't. No amount of system can correct the latter.

Not imo.

If you are referring to that OT goal by Elias when he was falling, sharp angle and had a man on him. Not the same thing. All Biron had to do is cover the post. He did not.

Goal by Staal.. He was home free.

Plus Frank is a back up and Biron is a starter.
