If only the refs actually called the penalties when it could have made a difference.

I say we tank and finish 8th, making the playoffs and only facing ''better'' teams since we seem to play better when facing serious opposition...huh huh?

TB had lost 9 in a row they were do to win, Montreal had garnished at least 1 point in each of it's last 10, they were do to lose one in regulation. They played badly and lost to a sub par team, it happens.

Montreal has that tendency to play at the other teams level thus why they struggle in games like these.

Habs did this last year. Lost to weak teams, mostly at home too (Toronto, St. Louis, Tampa, Florida all gained W's here- T.O. even had two! The Habs don't focus when they're the better team). Still, Tampa had a **** goal on Halak, a gaping net with the rebound and a SH goal on a breakaway. They hardly dominated us, even if they brought a good game to the Bell Centre tonight. The refs were asleep in the 3rd period. The Habs beat themselves. This team is not tough or gritty enough, still. Plus their D has too many gaping holes.

They can't string good games together as well thanks to a useless PP. With a good PP, this game is going to OT right now. Instead 1/6 so what else is new? They get 1-0 leads and sit on them far too often and can't recover when they lose the lead. The games where we get 2-0 or 3-0 leads result in wins (even when we blow it). How Tocchet got his team to outplay us makes Carbo look like an amateur. Frustrating, but I hope it wakes these idiots up for Washington (another bad road team) Saturday (a night where we usually play like we did tonight).

Score the first goal on the PP, and then give up 3 unanswered goals, one being a shorty to boot....sad.

What's the Hab's record on CBC?

They always choke with national coverage.

"Due" to lose is the lamest excuse I've ever heard. They cannot lose to teams like this. There are no excuses.

He was bad dude. In the third I watched him hold the puck and do nothing while his teammate had a wide open lane for a breakaway.

Two bad goals a minute apart is wha hurt Montreal the most, asside from the PP of course.

TB was not that good. They were lucky on 2 of the 3 goals!

I was counting how many passes and scoring chances Lats completely missed on but I lost track around 23.

Logically I'm with you....but, it was a 38 year-old backup goalie in net, and they could only muster 1 goal? Don't care how you slice it, that's pretty sad.

He is NOT a fourth line player, tell Carbs to play him with his brother and wake the heck up

I don't care if he's not a fourth line player. Common hockey sense says you give the puck to the guy open with a clear lane one-on-the-goalie.

Its definitly time for Bob to do something. We need to bring in a couple players and shake this team up. Enough is enough. No powerplay goals again tonight. Its to the point where its beyond frustrating. You can only make up enough excuses.

Star players must love playing in Montreal....Vinny with 1 goal, St. Louis with 2.

Guess the line match-ups weren't working tonight.

Ovechkin must be licking his lips for Saturday's tilt.
