Quote:
Team had a spirited if not very long practice today somewhere in the Edmonton suburbs. I got delayed two hours today in Ottawa and missed it. The team will not be making any roster moves, so that means the five players who are on the injured list will remain there for the time being.

P-Rock's Jam Session (Game Preview) The Panthers will roll into Edmonton tonight off the heels of a rollicking win in overtime over the Senators. Stephen Weiss made the victory possible with his OT winner. The Oilers and Panthers are quite evenly matched, as they parallel each other in their respective conference standings. Injuries haven't hit the Oilers quite as bad as the Panthers but yet both teams are finding ways to win. In fact, the Panthers have gained points in 7 of their last 8 games, without 3 of their top scorers. Through all this, Craig Anderson has been steadily keeping goal. He may have looked a little shaky last game, but when the game was truly on the line, he came through. Some question if he or Vokoun should start this one, but Coach DeBoer believes he played well enough and that the team plays well with him right now (can't argue with the results). Vokoun will likely get a shot this road trip, almost certainly tomorrow. All that matters right now are victories, and the Panthers, along with Michal Repik and his first NHL goal, are somehow making it happen.

Red Hot Cat Of The Night Jay Bouwmeester, with 8 points in 7 games, leads the team in points and assists, and had a goal last game.

Primary Target

The highly talented Hemsky is seen here celebrating a goal, which may also be mistaken for agony if you look at it right. Anyway, he's slowly pushing the Oilers forward in the right direction. The Panthers may not have quite the battle that the Northwest division is, but then I don't think they'll be complaining about that. The pressure is always on Hemsky to take it to the next level, but them's the rules when you're the high profile player on your team.

LET'S GO PANTHERS!!!!!!!!!!

Panthers 1 Oilers 0

Andy gets a shutout and an extra day of rest while preparing for the rest of the road trip and watching Vokoun audition for future employers in Calgary.

Panthers 2-1. Very nice DGT again--I want to be sure to say, thank you.

I really don't have that anxiety if they lose anymore like I always had with the Leafs (read on before jumping all over me with hob-nailed boots). I feel this way because it apears that the Panthers "get" DeBoer's system.

Remember what it was like in the early part of the season? If they'd fallen behind, time and time again as they did against the Senators, would they have had a chance to pull out a win? Remember how ugly some of those early games were? It was painful to watch.

So I'm confident. Sure, this team will lose games, all teams do. My primary fear lies in what happens when the better players get healthy. Will then negatively affect the team's work ethic?

I'm not worried about Booth or Stillman, but Horton? Zednik?

Either way, I'm sure DeBoer will straighten that out quickly. So I pick the Panthers in another good game. One of these days my 2-1 predictions will come through...and then, gentlemen, I will be insufferable!

You, me and I'm sure the rest of us all feel the same way, especially about Nate and Zednik.

I'm pretty sure stillman is back tonight, so should be a little more Offensive from the forwards.

Nice GDT btw!

Love that picture of Hemsky - he looks like a villain whose master plan has just been foiled again. Or like Darth Vader at the end of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. You should have added a dialogue bubble with him screaming "NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

I voted for a Panthers win. Why? Uh, because I'm a Panthers fan, duh! I don't really think they'll win

Hopefully the guys can put together another streak by winning tonight and Tomas will hold it up against Calgary.

*sigh* The one game of the year Florida's in town, I have to go to a Christmas work party..Oh well, the way I see it, all I get when I go is the chance to be ridiculed by lame Oiler fans and I give the money to the Oiler organization. Go Cats Go!

Stillman (concussion) could return to the lineup as soon as Thursday, according to the Miami Herald.

Recommendation: This is right about on pace with the latest estimates, which is a good sign for fantasy owners — as is the fact the Panthers have been a little more prudent with Stillman's post-concussion syndrome this go-around.

From Yahoo and Rotowire, sounds like tonight or tomorrow night!

I've voted against them every game during this stretch, so my superstition tells me to continue doing so.

I've voted for them every game against my better instincts...although I missed the Bruins game. So I guess I should continue doing so?

Glass would be my guess,

But i don't think Stillman goes until Tomorrow, he's still having mild headaches after a full-practice.

Me too. I'm not nearly as nervous as I used to be in certain games, but expect them to roar back and at the very least stay in the game.

i'm also nervous about Zed and Nate coming back. Mostly Nate, only Zednik's speed serves a purpose here.
