I have a weird feeling about tonight's game, I think it could get ugly.

Get McLean off that first line. We look terrible out there in the offensive zone.

we could be losing 8-1 soon if we don't start playing.

Andy has looked real sharp so far. Glad to see him carry over the 3rd/OT periods from the last game. Hope Frolik is ok too. The Edmonton PBP guy said he was a little shaky coming off the ice.

Man we stink out there! Lucky to get out of that period tied. DeBoer's trying to shake things up with the lines but he should change the coaching strategy.

Man, that was a pretty awesome save by Anderson. I'm pretty impressed with Repik so far, loved how he turned on that shot after stealing the puck.

Depleted line-up, guys. First period observations, for what they're worth:

Good energy, not much in the way of results.
Anyone notice that Bouwmeester's been playing the body more lately?
Dvorak appears to be highly motivated. Good speed.
I like what I see of Matthias. I can see why you guys are so high on him.
Ditto for Frolik. Just made a great pass, and did you see him boxing out that forward near our goal. Frolik's going to be very good.

Yeah, I like how he doesn't waste too much time out there. Not to get too excited about him, but I think he might just earn a roster spot if the regulars stay out too long.

Agreed.

I'd also like to point out Repik's feistiness; a few times some Oilers players game him a bump, and he responded in kind. Not bad for a rookie, who is primarily known for his skill, rather than grit.

Same here. He has shown sharp instincts so far. I'd like to keep him on board for a few more games, and see what happens. Maybe he's readier than we think he is.

We should try Stewart - Matthias - Repik, even if for a few shifts.

a little better energy this period. didn't like the first at all.

andy looks great. again, poor work by the Fs in the neutral zone there. unreal that he got loose like that.

Nice saves by Andy, would be nice if our guys could squeeze a guy a bit more.

Good chances finally...

pleez, that's a penalty every day. dvo's stick had no business being there. undisciplined play. i'm not liking this effort so far. the boys are not sharp and not competing like they need to.

no business where? at his feet? what's wrong with that, better than at his waist.
