With the guys playing for the Panthers, somebody has to step up, and Andy was that guy again.

Yea the Panthers had only five shots on goal all night, but Ill take the win. Edmonton got a lot of shots towards Andy, but there werent many that he had to be real big on. The Cats forechecked quite well in the third I though, and Im happy we get the win, and Andy gets the SO. Vokoun, you better bring your game tomorrow!

And what was that elbow thrown in the final minute to one of the Cat players in the Edmonton zone?

This is so awesome to watch. I must say Matthias and Repik both looked good tonight IMO. I can't believe we're winning these games. Andy comes up big AGAIN and he's posting up some UNREAL stats. Hopefully TVO can come up big for us tommorow night.

Great swarming by everyone at the end. This is a satisfying win, isn't it?

I wonder how heavy those legs are going to be tomorrow in Calgary?

I saw that too. It was quite blatant. Not sure why there wasn't a call on that.

And I'm expecting Vokoun to do the same thing tommorow

we'll have to generate more offense though

The next two games are not going to be easy, so tonight's win is a huge one

Nice win again! Another shutout by Andy. Are the Oilers that fast or were we just slow tonight? On to Calgary.

As far as I know, Oilers players have always been exceptionally fast skaters.

But we weren't exactly flying either ...

They're fast

but we gave them the blueline too easily, made them look like rockets

Good call.

We didn't deserve to win this one at all, but teams that win come out with games like this sometimes. Andy's still playing great and shows that a few goals are not going to shake him. Big win tonight and we're 2-0 on this road trip!

i guess the call was incidental contact but omg that was textbook interference. my guess is that we get that call a little earlier in the game.

i'm not sure what the game plan was but we were not skating well tonight at all. seemed like the plan was maybe to be a little more patient with these guys. i'm not sure if that was a good idea. our neutral zone play has been really loose and was exposed again tonight. time after time they were able to break us down quickly and cruise through the neutral zone, carrying in the puck uncontested (how many times did you see 3 or 4 on our 2 D?). luckily we had some back-pressure or else they'd have gotten much better shots and we would've been toast.

I'm probably going to get some flak from Zero here (feels like I will anyway), but I'm not at all looking forward to Horton, Zednik, and even Olesz getting healthy. I REALLY like what I've seen from Matthias and Repik, and I can't figure out who gets sent down to make room for Stillman and Booth other than Glass. There's such chemistry out there and these guys are really coming together. Going to be interesting in the coming weeks, I just hope the chemistry isn't messed up.

I don't understand how some hockey fans are deemed smarter than others.

Oilers board predicting 7-8 goals on us tonight, some saying 100+. They are calling us bottom feeders (same amount of pts. now), bottom five team in the East easily.

What!?!?

I say those people who say this are...

Can we now agree that Craig Anderson is not only the best goalie on the Florida Panthers but also one of the best, if not the best, goalie playing in the NHL at the moment? Florida has found it's Tim Thomas and didn't have to use a First and 2 Second Round Draft Choices to acquire him nor pay him $6 mil a year. JM better sign him to an extension soon as the price is skyrocketing with every victory!!! Anderson is living proof of my long held theory that you don't have to break the bank to have good goaltending!!!

I'm glad we pulled out the win tonight. Andy had quite a few great saves, and even made some look easy. Great game by him. We weren't pressuring as much as we did against Ottawa the other night. Not sure if Deboer wanted them to be more patient so they have legs tommorrow night against Calgary? It wasn't pretty but it's a win. I'll take it.
