Jones played for Milwaukee last night - and seemed like he was a little jet-lagged. He did, however, draw a penalty late in the third. He won a battle along the boards at neutral ice, and Rockford's Andrew Archer had to hook him to prevent a breakaway.
The Admirals scored the game winning goal on the power play 17 seconds later.
I asked Admirals coach Lane Lambert what Jones needed to work on to get called back up for good - and he pointed to that play as one example.
"He needs to keep doing what he's doing," said Lambert. "Little detail areas, wall play - he's gotta be good when the puck comes around the boards."
Lambert also said they were working on "little quick bursts with his skating."
