Flames Game Day

The Spotlight Is On...

Yes Mr Vokoun, the spotlight is on YOU! You're last game played was November 26th. And while you are 11-3-3-1 lifetime against the Flames, your starting job is on the line. CONTINUE OUR STREAK!

PB1300s Official Game Preview
Some might come him a savior, some call him a God or a Devil, but most Panther fans call Keenan a @#$%#! or a $%^@!, or my personal favorite, a !@##!!~$. Regardless, the Panthers take on the Flames tonight as they try to continue a streak in which they have won five of their last six games. Vokoun needs to have a good game, and as important, the team needs to play just like they play when Andy is in net. The Flames will quickly take a 1-0 lead, but lose it afterwards quickly when Keenan sends half the team off the ice to find his arch rival Jacque Martin, who seems to be hiding in the Flames mascot, Harvey the Hound.

Martin, is that you???

Lets extinguish the flames in the Saddledome!!

GO CATS GOOOOOOOOOOO

Lot of pressure on Vokoun tonight considering the rust he'll have to shake off and the tired team playing in front of him. That, unfortunately, is a recipe for a loss.

This is a big game for Vokoun. If he doesn't come out and play well, I'd say he's riding the bench for quite a bit more.

If you have been paying attention, until last night I've been predicting 4-1 Panthers defeats so yesterday you should have yelled at me, not today.

a cold Vokoun, a tired team and THE HOCKEY GOD is a lot of bad Karma to overcome.

"We're going good," Weiss said. "We're doing the little things really well. We're blocking shots and everyone's on the same page and we're all moving in the right direction, the same direction.

"When you get 20 guys playing that way, you're going to have a good chance to win every night. With the goaltending we're getting, hopefully we can just keep going."
From TSN's article about last night.

4-1 Flames. Not sure how you can expect much from Vokoun tonight, he hasn't played in about 3 weeks.

the boys didn't do enough skating or grinding last night to be tired today.

GP. might like this comment I'm about to make...

That game last night is a game we USED to lose or lose the lead in the last 8 minutes or so of a hockey game under the old administration.

He's a competitor who had to work hard to get his contract and play on this level, I expect him to come out and compete.

Lets go boys, truth be told, Andy stood on his head for us last night when we didn't play great offensively. I'm predicting that Vokoun plays a solid game for us and we get back to our skating and hard forechecking ways! Panthers win! GO CATS GO!

Vokoun has good career numbers against the Flames, but I still don't trust him. Lets hope he can pull one out.

I think he's "competed" in all the games he's played, he just hasn't played well. I hope that changes tonight.

Anderson certainly has left rebounds but when Vokoun was playing earlier in the year that what was killing him. He was kicking out big rebounds right to the opposing team.
