Guys, what is going on this year with this team? Are we finally seeing a hockey team here, and not a bunch of individuals? I have to say it, that the longer this goes, I think the better our chances are at resigning Bouw.

That's what can happen with an overly aggressive forecheck.

This could be the coming-out game for Kreps. I love what I see so far.

1. Kreps is having a great game.

2. Canadian broadcasts have a ridiculous amount of commercials.

These too many men penalties have to stop! That's the ultimate shoot yourself in the foot penalty. Shows that we've got so many kids dressed.

We are still a top line center away from being a real good hockey club, and I think Spezza would be perfect for centering Horton.
don't need him. seriously, look at the kids out there.

well, that's why you always try to keep a 3rd guy high. the Fs just haven't been as good this period.

Don't want Spezza on this team. Would screw up the locker room I'm sure.

Not a good period for the panthers, Calgary really controlled the flow most of it, aside from the early part of it.

Yep, some really bad puck movement in the neutral zone. The forwards stopped moving their skates too many times.

They never show the trip to Western Canada. I think it's a combination of the later time slot, and maybe saving money on travel.

LOL, did I just hear the Flames announcers say that "Carlos Skrastich" made a nice block? Do we have a Hispanic defenseman I didn't know about?

Really liking the development I'm seeing by Frolik. I've read all your comments about him, how he was going to be a good one. I can see it now. He's so poised under pressure (and let's face it, few teams can take your head off like the Flames can), makes a good pass...and plays defense too. Could become a favorite of mine quickly.

i was thinking the same thing. think about the fact this team is over 500 and a team that's won 6 of 8 on the road and in the thick of it... they aren't a power but you can see the respect coming. and with the kids playing as well as they, you have to be excited about the next few years. if they keep up this level of play (and reasonable success in terms of Ws and Ls), i'm gonna say right now that i see jay signing in january.

Too lax of a 2nd period by us I thought. Hopefully now we just turn it on in the 3rd.

not as good as the first but if boynton stays with his guy and ties him up, we're good. i didn't see huge dropoff but the flames will come out hard in the 3rd. it'll be a good test, that's for sure.

I agree with whoever said something about the odd man rushes. Calgary has been really good at making that first pass out of the zone. We need to limit that and get in there quicker.

alright lets get one here and put the pressure on them.

We seem to be playing really laid back, do you think we're playing to get to OT??
