To be quite honest i think that Nabokov will ahve to be their best player come time for Olympics. But out of the forwards oouuuff either Malkin or Ov cant go wrong.

That 2010 team is gonna be nuts.

Ovechkin - Datsyuk - Semin
Kovalchuk - Malkin - Kovalev

I'm really excited to see Russia finally becoming a world power again internationally. It's great for the game.

I'd take those top 6 over Zherdev in a tournament. Zherdev would be a 3rd liner.

Anyway, my vote goes to Ovechkin.

I think Malkin will be the better player, but a 9 point difference in the Ross standings after less than 30 games ain't gonna displace A.O just yet.

So, with the asterix, A.O.

Fedorov! 3 assists in 13 min last night!
I voted for Ovechkin although I think Malkin is the best player in the world. No logic there.

Kovalev won't be playing in the Olympics. It's a fact, just like he didn't get the call for the worlds last year. Kovalev is not a part of Bykov's plans.

bah, fine.

What's the deal with Zherdev? I understand he hasn't exactly endeared himself to the Russian hockey brass. But is his talent enough to make up for that?

Ovechkin, and then Malkin. After that it gets tricky.
