Easily Kane IMO. I just think he'll have a higher upside, not to mention even if they did make the same amount I think only one of them would truly earn it.

Even though Kane is a RW and Vanek is a LW who would be a great fit with Hemsky.... Kane

That guy is an absolutely stellar player. 100+ point future for sure. I think in a few years he'll be the best player in the Western conference.

Comes back to that question of which is more important.... 50 goals and 80 points or 70 assists and 100 points.

Vanek is a better goal scorer but Kane is definitely going to score more points.

Right now the sabres need a #1 center like Kane to go with our #1 winger, so can I have both?

Well Kane is a RW not a center, Toews is the center on that line. They're really not comparable players in that Vanek is better able to impose his will with his size and strength and gets most of his goals in the dirty fashion while Kane is all flash and dash. Both are great players and any team would love to have them. Though Vanek will consistently score more goals and at least now plays a better all around game, I'll take Kane for his potential as he's on track to be a consistent 100pt player.

Kane isn't an assist machine as such, he's always been a scorer - I read somewhere he held back on his shooting last year, but is focussing on it this season.

100 pt Playmaker or 50 goal, 80 point sniper? I'll take the playmaker every day.

Only a handful of players have been able to do what Kane has done as a teenager in the NHL.
