raffi is better than advertised he has some nice touch around the net and a very good shot. He can be a 25-30 goal scorer in this league and be a very nice 2nd line player.

How's Hemsky looking? Any chance he'll get out of the doghouse anytime soon? He sure isn't getting much time out there.

They really need the two points here!! But they also cannot let St. Louis have the extra one either. C'mon Smitty, do it 2 games in a row baby!!!!

I'm gonna take nedved in OT, this team isn't ready to quit yet and good on them. Nedved and Dvorak have had a good second half of thegame I think they got the winner in them

Ice Time Faceoff%

Nedved 14:00 66%
Oates 9:00 87%
Stoll 13:00 42%
MacT pet 20:00 30% 6-14

Lowe could go out and get Lindros and Briere and Horcoff would still get 20 minutes!
I won't even get started on Pisani
How is Semenov's development coming along in the press box?

Man... Horcoff has 21 points in his last 29 games... plus he has been very good defensively as well.

Damnit, a tie! Even though it was a pretty even game, that's not good enough.

Tie game. Sounds like Osgood stole a point for the Blues and Markannen played well also.

a point is a point, and the Oilers need them. It's better than an OT loss.

Yeah. I don't think bagging on Horcoff is going to get the kind of support it would have a couple months ago.
The line has been really strong for us.

I think we can thank Markkanen that we're still within 2 points of St Louis.

Exactly a point is a point. They did not lose any ground on St Louis for one. Let's hope the Wild beat LA tonight and the Stars SHOULD beat Flamers tomorrow night...

1-1 it seemed like one of thise nights, Jussi played well they needed the win can't give up many more points. Can't falut their effort though they are playing very hard right now.

Also people need to lay off Horecoff. He shouldn't be a top 2 center on a good team but its not his fault Reasoner has only played 17 games, that Oates aged 10 years in 4 months and that York got hurt. He has played pretty well the second half, he is being stretched too thin from his talent but in a more limited role everyone would love him.

I mean if we could somehow coax Nedved back next year at less money which i think could happen if he has some success the next 3 weeks and enjoys the atmosphere in Edm during the playoff push. Then provided they are healthy you have Nedved, York, Reasoner, Horecoff thats actually pretty good and could be a strength on this team.

Lets put it this way.
If Lowe doesnt aquire Nedved yesterday, im 80% certain this ends up a crushing 1-0 loss.

You knew St.louis was going to play desperate hockey, this was almost their season on the line. This was a desperate lineup sporting Weight, Demitra, Pronger & Tkachuk. And the way they came out in OT, im sure this is bittersweet for them. This was a Must Win game of the highest importance for The Blues this year, and they didnt get it.

Ill take the point and wait for Chicago.

Meh, we really needed the two points tonight.. likewise, we had enough chances to get a goal in the first and second period, we just didn't burry the puck This will hurt if Minny doesn't manage to beat LA tonight..

Can we keep him?...........Can we?................Huh?.....Pleeeeaaaaaase!

Blocking shots, taking hits to make the play, 3 good scoring chances. He's got good speed.

It's like he was made for this team.

I wish it was game 52 tonight.

What a great game-saving block by Nedved in OT.

And like if Lowe doesn't acquire Markkanen yesterday, I think this winds up as a crushing 3-0 loss. First trade Lowe's made in a while where the returns are immediately apparent.

Anyway we're still in the playoff race, at least for now.

Hahaha, hey, when I saw the Rangers in their retro uniforms, my first thought was "Hey, is that the Winnipeg Jets?"

Good news is that Markkanen has played great as well...
I'd be comfortable platooning the Juice with Conks next year unless Salo really steps it up down the stretch.
