Disney's Mighty Ducks as NHLers: who would've made the cut?
For those who still remember the Might Ducks movie series, who do you think would have been a bonafide NHLer? Not only that, but who would you take if you had the first overall pick of a certain draft year and only these players were available?
Adam Banks - The speedy, creative goal-scoring machine who seems to have a hat trick in every movie, and get injured in every movie. Injury prone, but possesses the hands and vision that even Crosby would be jealous of. Can hit and play with grit when needed, but hurts himself too easily. Reminiscent of Peter Forsberg in his prime, plus loves to shoot.
Charlie Conway - The captain, the leader. penalty-killer and power-play quarterback, this kid could do it al - including being a great coach. Somehow always linked to the last miracle play. Reminiscent of a present day Mike Richards.
Gunnar Stahl - Okay, not really a mighty duck, but a big nasty Icelander who has been a leading scorer everywhere he plays. Has issues with authority and told his coach that the coach blew it despite his terrible triple deke. Yes, has great scoring ability and can dish out the hits, but can't deke to save his life. However, has good sportsmanship and initiated a handshake to end D2. Not very well known because not many pro hockey players come out of Iceland, but then again, not many came from Slovenia either. Reminiscent of Anze Kopitar with no dekes, but hitting ability.
Lester Averman - Red-headed annoying hockey player that really doesn't contribute much on the ice, but a key in the locker room. Doesn't have good offensive instincts, skating ability or defensive ability, but has the uncanny ability to get under the skin of other players. Reminiscent of a less talented and not-so-tough Sean Avery.
Greg Goldberg - Former #1 goalie, relieved of his duty due to poor shape and a slow glove hand and instead, converted to defence. A great shot blocker and good with his stick. Reminiscent of a less-mobile and fatter Willie Mitchell.
Russ Tyler - Former street hockey player recruited to play for Team USA after being scouted by Charlie Conway. Doesn't have any unique attributes except for a crazy slapshot known as the "Knuckle Puck." Reminiscent of a present day Sheldon Souray.
Fulton Reed - Doesn't score and doesn't shoot or pass, but never gives up a chance to hurt someone. Can fight and can hit harder than anyone who is under the age of 18. Reminiscent of a present day Donald Brashear.
Tom Riley - Again, not a Mighty Duck, but one of the best players on the Varsity Warriors. Much like Gunnar Stahl, had an uncanny ability to find the net and can dish it out better than Fulton Reed ever could. However, Riley had attitude problems and is overly arrogant. Reminiscent of Alexandre Daigle.
Others? Pick however many you think would've made it.

Actually, Fulton is already in the NHL. He just changed his name to "Douglas Murray" and pretended to be Swedish so he wouldn't draw attention to himself.
I think the cakeeater, Charlie, Fulton and Gunnar could have made it if their characters were true. However, I'm not sure why you didn't put other characters on there. I think Mendoza, Dwayne and Portman could have made it too. If the NHL weren't men only I'd even give The Cat a chance.
Also, I think Russ Tyler would do a better job as an Avery kind of player than Averman. Averman would make a good commentator though

What about Jesse Hall? He was tough and he had leader written all over him
And what about Bombay as a coach?
He was evander kane before there was an evander kane.. tough...speedy...goalscorer..except he, like most of the players,.. kept switching which hands they played with

Wasn't having a big shot like the whole point of his character?
