The Positive Thread: Part II

I couldn't find the previous version started by The Chariot, maybe a mod could help me out. Feel free to post anything positive you may have to say. I'll start:

It's only one game. The Rangers have two days off until the next game on Saturday. This will allow some guys to get rest and come out flying against a Sens team that has been struggling lately.

Although I admit that I have some negative things to say, I don't have the "sky is falling" mentality at this point and time.

LGR!

33% on the power play, not bad considering last couple of games.

Actually I thought Naslund looked like a much more motivated player in the third period tonight. Is that positive? 50/50

Renny should show him the tape and tell him THATS what we need EVERY NIGHT Marcus

Haha I had a feeling "The Chariot" was here under a new name

Naslund looked hell-bent on scoring tonight, most likely because he was playing his former team. If only he can play like that every game for us from here on in.

I don't know why but even I was positive tonight, I had a feeling they'd come back but oh well. All 5 goals were not Hank's fault, 2 break aways, 2 wide open one timers and a 5 on 3 goal

You look at Naslund and most nights he is invisible, he's like an aging prize fighter, he's lost his legs so he's the not the same guy anymore. He's got descent stats but you don't see it game in game out.

the team has been finding ways to win even when their offense hasnt been clicking....

hank looks amazing so far this season(minus tonight)

the defense all look pretty good, granted there are some rough spots but overall a much improved blue-line

drury has started to put up some points( i believe he had two tonight)

callahan, sjostrom, zherdev, dubi have all looked good for an extended period of time

korpikoski, fritsche, dawes all have looked good the past couple of games

the defenseman know when and how to shoot the puck

At least now we've scored more goals on the PP than we have allowed (8 vs 7).

At least we scored 3 goals.

At least I could sleep longer this night, because I didn't have to finish watching the game.

At least reality got back to us and we actually lost the game while playing like **** for 2 periods.

Last time Rangers played in Europe was before the 1993-1994 season, we all know how this season ended.

I wouldn't underestimate that.

After the debacle against Toronto his confidence might've needed a boost.

A few less people at MSG each night so I am getting out 20-30 seconds faster.

When you mount a great comeback, you probably forget about the crappy play that forced the comeback to begin with. Losing is more likely to send a message that there's a problem to be corrected.

Several things to be happy about after beating Phoenix last night:
1) A 1st period Ranger goal!
2) A Ranger PP goal!
3) Ed Jovanovski signed a $6.5M contract with the Coyotes, not with the Rangers
4) The PHX-NYR trade last season: Freddy Shoe is doing fine, Montoya is 1-9-0, 3.34 GAA in the AHL (okay, not fair to Al, San Antonio positively stinks at 2-16-1 so far)

I figured I'd give this a bump

As for the topic at hand....um.....13 days until Christmas, and Henrik still has a homicide free criminal record

Clawed back from a serious deficit and made a game out of it. For about 35 seconds anyway.

That's about it.

Only positive I can find right now is if Slats is meeting with Sundin tomorrow, he must have some idea of shipping someone out. God willing, Redden!

Let's see:

Our record against the Devils is still extremely lopsided, despite this terrible loss.

I have no doubt that Lundqvist will return to form. If anything, you learn a lot more from losses than wins.

At least half the players on our team are not a waste of money. They all know who they are

It's only one game

We can't possibly get any worse, although that's debatable.
