Right now, he is all offense. He is really struggling in the defensive end. He has decent upside, and we need to let him develop a bit more. Fresh out of college, he is still a raw talent. Once he can get his defensive coverage better.....signficantly.....then he will be an excellent defensemen. At this point, he is merely a pp specialist........He will produce though. The kid has scored every time he has been called up this year.

right now i'd liken him to andy delmore.

booming, accurate slapshot...maybe a bit better offensive instinct...but his defensive play and passing are pretty sub-par. i do think that he has more potential to correct these things, though. i think he needs more time developing at the minor league level. trying to learn these things on a team that's making a playoff run probably isn't the best thing for the player or the team.

His passing isn't as bad as Delmore's and he sees the ice much better. He's truely an offensive defense, whereas Delmore just has a good shot. If he can learn to play defense he'll be a force, he can shoot the puck with the best of them, 4 goals in 16 games?

the past two games in particular, he's been making a lot of terrible passes.
