Do you honestly think this is going to be anything other than a landslide for Toews?

Toews by 47 million light years.
Jordan Staal is one of the most overrated players in the league.

Out of the 2006 draft it will be Justin Krueger!
Thats right you heard it here first, they will change him from a D-men to a forward, because thats what has been holing him back. Look for the last pick in the draft to score 50g 62a 112p next year! Book it.

Toews.
Staal has him beat as far as defense goes, but Toews is much more of a complete package.

Was Pittsburgh hung over from the Carolina and Eric Staal cup victory? Not to knock Jordan, but I remember feeling that Toews was better than Staal before that draft.

As a Pens fan, Toews. I simply like his all-around ability and leadership better.
Staal still is and will be a hell of a player. I simply think Toews has it in him to be a dynamic, top 5-10 player in this league.

Easy Decision here.
Toews.
Imagine the Penguins last year with Malkin, Crosby, Toews, Hossa, Malone, Sykora as your top 6 in the playoffs.

I agree that that Toews >>> Staal... at least in this poll. But I think J Staal has now gone from hugely overrated to underrated, while Toews is still on the overrated side. Hey they're both great young players though. If I had to choose, I'd go Toews every time.

I feel like Staal is a more effective player on the ice(On the boards, on the PK, taking away passing lanes, cycling the puck), but toews is so good on the puck that its hard to not take him

Well I actually couldn't, until during an interview at the 2007 WJC he clarified how to say it. I'm just making a joke..
