What a beauty by Raycroft.

The 2nd pp unit should be Wolski-Hensick-Stewart/Jones. Get Arnason outta there

Raycroft lucky again that the Detroit shooter shot it into him as he went down to the butterfly when the player made the pass, instead of moving.

He followed it up with another great glove save, so hopefully the later continues.

Tough to tell what happened on that goal. I originally blamed it on Salei, but after seeing the replay, it looked like he did everything he could after he got knocked down. Looked like Raycroft lost sight of the puck, and didn't see it bouncing slowly to the side of the net and in. Hard to tell what his vision was like there though. Avs need a good couple of shifts here to keep Detroit from gaining any momentum.

Well, looks like the refs are getting involved. Weak call on the Codys.

Second time this year we get screwed with a penalty out of a routine scrum after the whistle.

I'm liking Jones tonight, I actually quite like that Stewart - Jones combo, they are an absolute handful to deal with.

Jesus Arnason, why are you trying to handle a puck that won't settle at your own blueline? Avs lucky that didn't bite them in the ass, because Detroit was buzzing there, and the Avs were tired.

Can we have Jones-Stewart play for the whole 3rd?

Clark was really wanting to go into the lockerroom with a tie game

Great turnover with just seconds left in the period by Clark... I'm shocked that we didn't get scored on there. What is it about this team that has them so afraid to just CLEAR THE ****ING PUCK when there's a golden opportunity to do so?? Foote's done it a number of times too... tonight and in other games.

Goatboy #2 Clark gives it away now cutting in front of his own net and turning it over with under ten seconds to go in the period.

The most frustrating thing about playing Detroit is that no matter how mediocre, or even crappy, their goaltending is... it just doesn't matter. Especially when it's the Avs playing them.

I'm hoping they give Wolski a chance to center these guys, honestly if you played that line and the RPM line together we may not need to bash our head against the wall with Arnason and Clark.

Maybe he had 2-2 after the second period in the office pool

Is there any doubt that the Avs will sit back on this 1 goal lead like they are playing any team but the friggin' Wings?

I think they just won't be able to get the puck.

We all know what's coming in this third period.

Isn't it embarrassing that Enzyte is like the main sponsor of the NHL on Versus?
How lame is that

Is it too early to start pleading with the Wings to just agree to let us get to OT?
