Glass Half Full

We all know how disappointing so many of the Habs forwards have been thus far...AK46, AK74, Kovalev, Higgins, Pleks, Lats...and yet amazingly this team is still in the middle of the Top 8 pack. It's probably fair to say by this point in the season that none of the aforementioned six will come within 10 points of their totals from last season. That said, statistically-speaking they are due to have stronger seasons the rest of the way-- so many good players will not all at once experience 50%-plus reductions in scoring by season's end. So have faith in the mathematical gods, notably for AK46, Kovy, and Pleks. They will get it going at some point this season and when they do, statistically-speaking they will make up for such disastrous production over the past two months.

We've got to tough it out until Komi and Koivu are back. From there, we'll start to see goal-scoring increases (forget the hows and whys, just thing probability). While finishing 1st overall is nice, more important is to be healthy & rolling once the playoffs come around.

Keep the faith chers Habitants.

But when it could be seen Half full, it could also be seen half empty, depending of your personnality I guess.....We're 5th in the conference.....just 6 points out of a playoff spot.

Having said that, it's not like there's 5 games to go in the year, no time to look at the standings, time to work to have a better work ethic and start producing so our players will gain all the confidence they need.

When you're down and out and want to kick some Habs in the ass and scream at the top of your lungs "Work harder, Shoot smarter, and Score already," just turn towards your inner Zen and repeat three times "Statistical Probability"

I agree that statiscally things should even out in the second half for certain underachieving players though sometimes players really do have lousy years (Samsonov or Kovalev in 07) but likely certain players will heat up. Also, if you remember montreal was really a second half team last year more than anything. That is when the team really took off offensively so let us hope history repeats itself.

It's hard lookin at it that way sometimes but I agree. There's so much damn whining and complaining here that it gives me a headache reading some threads. IT'S NOT THAT BAD.
