True. He battles hard all the time, and is great defensively. He's also better offensively than Spezza. Sens missed the boat on this one.

Yes! As stated on the first post, and somewhere on the second page, do people know how to read?

Heh i definately dont want Todd White as a #1 centre. I think he would fit in where Vermette and Fisher do....as a good inbetween 2nd and 3rd centre.

... Brendan Bell, a healthy scratch for the Washington game Friday, has been elevated to the Senators' first power-play unit. He'll line up across the point from Filip Kuba, while Dany Heatley, Spezza and Daniel Alfredsson are up front. "Yeah, I think so," Bell said when asked if a game in the press box helped him. "I got a chance to watch from up high, and it wasn't an ideal game to watch but you get a perspective. Maybe you have an extra second or maybe you have a little more time to think to make a play to be a little more creative." The second unit has Mike Fisher and Alexandre Picard as the point men, with Antoine Vermette between Nick Foligno and Ilya Zubov, who was again recalled from Binghamton on Friday.
I'm glad fisher is off the first unit point but then they stick him in the second unit point. It was the second unit point that scored the last game's only goal. Now the second unit will continue on sucking.

Our last two PP goals came from the 2nd unit where Fisher assited on one of those with a sweet touch pass to Bell.

Fisher wasn't the problem, it was/is our big three not hustling their ***** on the man advantage and losing all the battles.

I find that's a pretty irrational course of action. He's our only D-man with a threatening shot from the point. He knows how to take a stride away from the point and get closer to the net before he takes a shot, and this actually makes his point shots hit the net. He also makes awesome plays to keep the pressure on and throws it into the corners instead of a player along the half wall.

For someone that has offensive instincts like him I find it really hard to justify keeping him off the first unit. It should be Kuba-Picard or Bell-Picard on the PP.

Kuba-Picard is the only acceptable option for the first unit. They are both head and shoulders above Bell, and he is the only other realistic option.

I have no problem putting Picard and Kuba on PP 1, but I liked Hartsburgh idea trying Fisher on the first unit, I just think it would of been more effectve if he had Fisher up front and Alfie on the point. Fish didnt look bad back there, but he didnt really make anything happen...

Fisher shouldn't be on PP AT ALL.

He was a wasted character on the PP. He didn't exhibit any sort of productive creativity on the point. He took shots at bad times, and really didn't do much to find seams and get his shots on net. That's not the sort of guy we need there. His performance was reminiscent of Meszaros blasting shots into guys shin pads. Fisher may have a shot, but he doesn't know when to use it and he doesn't have the creativity to form an efficient power play.

Spezza would do better on the point than Fisher would. That's how bad he was.

There is an entire thread about who is starting, not to mention it's been posted AT LEAST three times in this thread alone.

Why is Fisher even on the point at all? Either unit.

Picard-Kuba should be the first PP Unit pairing.

He asked Hartsburgh if he could go back there, he played Jr on the point so I guess he let him try it out
