Jerseys RE-customized?

Does anyone know of anywhere online or locally (greater Philadelphia area) that is willing to re-customize NHL jerseys? I don't even know if this is probable (in other words, what the jersey would look like if the name/number were unsewn and resewn). Basically, like an idiot I bought a Steve Downie jersey about a year ago and I'd like to get a new name and number on it if I can. I'm willing to pay for it as long as its cheaper than dropping another $200 to $300 for a new jersey.

Yeah I had an old leclair jersey i re did. I basically took one of those sewing picks that is used to pull out stitching and took my time on the letters and numbers. It took about an hr but i got all of it off. Then the numbers and such just peeled off. It lefta but of glue underneath around the outlines but nothing major. Then sent it in and had it redone. Give it a go.

Why is buying are you an idiot for buying a Downie jersey? Why would you want to get it changed? Im confused.

People still wear Clarke, Parent and Hextall jerseys.

I have a local place that does my custom jobs in Ambler PA, but I don't know if he'll re-do a jersey. I've often thought about it, but never asked. I was just there, saw a Coburn 3rd jersey being made.

I actually had this same situation. My jersey (avatar) originally said Cleary 48. My dad bought me it for Christmas figuring I really liked Briere. Great gift but I decided to get the number re-arranged to have my own number.

I took it to a local sporting goods store that makes shirts and jerseys for local teams. The stitching on it looks fine although there was orange residue from the numbers where they used to be but it easily came off in the wash. I paid only 25 for it because I used the same numbers, and it would be 40 to get all new numbers. Btw, the store is called Lloyd Sixsmith on Frankford Ave. in the Northeast if you're ever in the mayfair section of Philly, I see you're from Jersey but still letting you know the name of the place.
