JJ

Isn't Johnson expected back soon? The D should get stronger with him in the lineup. I think that many on this site have an "out of sight out of mind" thought process with him right now. The kid is really good, don't forget that.

I wonder what the D pairings will be?

It seems like they are sticking to they're word about him not returning too soon. . the longer he stays out the better. No reason to rush him. . even if he is feeling ready to go. .

Like I said, Kings fans are a fickle bunch. We are a testament to the statement "What have you done for me lately?" But I think most of us still regard Jack as our 1-2 defender. He will be a sight for sore eyes as far as I am concerned. I want to see a Doughty-Johnson pairing and Gauthier sent down and I will have a big smile on my face. I think they are taking it really slow for him though, he is a no-risk player and they want to make sure that he is 100% for his future. This is an injury that could come back to haunt him and the King's look to him as a bluechip youngster that they hope will become an elite franchise defenseman...

Right. I'd guess after the all-star break.

Hell, why not a conditioning stint in Manch?

I suggested that when he got hurt. He needs it. Not so much the conditioning but to get his confidence back. Potting a few in Manchester for a week or two would be good for him.

Start him out slow and get him even hungrier to get to the NHL.

If the Kings are fighting for a playoff spot I doubt they send him down to Manchester for any kind of conditioning. The defense is going be so much more dynamic with Jack in there over Gauthier or Harrold.

Not just the defense IMO. We should start to see more of why JMFJ was originally considered a major offensive threat from the blueline.

Getting him back will be like acquiring an awesome young defenseman at the trade deadline.

IMO when JMFJ comes back Preissing will be traded and Guathier or Harrold will be number 6 and 7.

Doughty Quincey
Greene Johnson
Harrold O'Donnell

Guathier

Yes. If Chelios can play a few in the AHL before returning to duty, Johnson can too.

It didn't do harm to Wisniewski in Chicago as well.

I believe we are missing him dearly. Considering we are doing very well defensively already I think that extra step that he would provide or would allow more offense coming from our own end.
I think if he comes back soon by game 60 mark we will really see the potential of our defence and transitional game.

Who will take Priessing? He can't even dress for the Kings.
