We are only a .500 team in the last 20 games. So if we keep playing at that pace, then yes we will finish 7 games over .500 which is 89 points. I am sure thats how he meant it.
7 games over .500 is 96 points, no?
89 points is what the Habs get if they play .500 the rest of the way... so long as you don't count OTL points. They would likely need to lose more than half of their games not to hit 90 points, assuming they get an OTL here and there. Coincidentally, the 8th-place team in the East is on pace for 90 points.
If the Habs win half their remaining games (doable, I would think) and get 5 OTLs (also quite doable over 26 losses) they will end up with 94 points. That implies a very middling performance level the rest of the way.
We are a .000 team based on the last 3 games. With that pace we would finish the season with 37 points. Why the hell did they base our season on the last 20 games when we have many regular injured? Once Koivu, Price, Higgins, Komi, Dandy, Laraque get back, will that mean that we are a .900 team based on our first 10 games of the season. CKAC is filled with a bunch of idiots.
meh you can get all defensive about all you like, the fact is for MOST of the season we have been playing .500 hockey. Injuries are a part of the game and are no excuse. I am not saying we can't turn things around, but i am not gonna lie and say i have been satisfied with how thing are going. The team is really slipping..

You can twist stats 100 different ways, bottom line is that we should start playing better with Komisarek and co back.

"Stats" is another way of showing Bias (good or bad)... because after all 95% of the stats lie
Sergei is going back down after the hurt guys come back, mark my words. This kid has some issues, I knew it from day 1 of the TC... He's not in shape and is clearly not in his game as much as last year...
In the article on the "slashing incident" on rds.ca (http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/265542.html), they say that Komo didn't have the permission to play yet because the team's doctor was sick.
"Mike Komisarek n'a pas reçu le feu vert afin de renouer avec l'action, mercredi, parce que le médecin du Canadien était malade."
Sheesh why oh why they gave the *c* to kovy? The *c* should be given to Komi.
I don't know man! There's something about this guy.I have a feeling about him!!He has Leadership printed into his face.
CAN'T YOU SEE IT? THIS guy = our future captain!
As long as Kovy is around he will be our alternate captain if Koivu can't play or is not playing for Montreal. But i do agree that we got ouself a captain with Komo.
I want Josh Gorges as our next captain. Oh and by the way, did you know.......
all joking aside, he is the guy best exemplifying a Captain in Koivu's absence. Interesting how we traded a leader in Rivet and turns out we got another one back without knowing. Who would of thought the afterthought in the trade would be so valuable.
IMO, he along with Komisarek deserve the "A" more than Kovalev and Higgins.
no offence, but this should not even be news. this is what happens when a team is picked apart by the media 24 hours a day. this stuff it happens all the time.
