He will only come back with Colorado.

The only chance he'll sign somewhere else is if Colorado is out of playoff contention around the deadline.

Although people would disagree with me, yes, i'd take him if he takes a huge paycut at the deadline.

I heard that Selanne is going to sign here next year because Saku and him were so good in the finnish national team and that they were friends... Is it true?

He signed a two year contract with the Ducks, so scratch that dream.

I still don't understand why people wouldn't want him on this team...

We had the same arguments last year about him being finish and all and he happened to be the best Avs on the ice... yes he missed a couple of games in the playoffs, but it's not like we would lose anyone to get him...

I'd hope Gainey will at least inquire about him...

I doubt he choses to come here... if the Avs are in the picture for the playoffs it's pretty obvious he'll go back with them... also, Philly lost the Sundin derby, they surely won't lose the Forsberg one...

he got 14 points in 9 games last year when he came back. I would say that's dominant... that came after a year of speculation and injuries to his foot. If he comes back, he won't cost a lot of money because of the moment he'll come back (more than 60% of the year will have been played) and he won'T be able to ask 10 millions like Sundin because of his injury status. So, let's say that he gets 6M for 40% of the season (that's optimistic), he would only cost 2.4M against the cap. For a chance to receive a dominant player, I would do it.

Well, you just know Montreal will be mentioned in connection with him, but whether it leads to anything is another story...

I'd do it.

I read on tsn that he was looking for a playoff return and players aren't paid for the playoffs. I'm assuming that wherever he signs, it will be for a cheap amount of money and that he could end up having little to no impact on that team.

He's well worth the risk.
