Tomas Plekanec is back between Andrei Kostitsyn and Alex Kovalev at practice this morning.
Other lines on the ice:
Lang between Tanguay and D'Agostini
Maxwell between Latendresse and Sergei Kostitsyn
Lapierre with Laraque, Bégin and Kostopoulos. Not sure who's the rover on this line.
Komisarek awaiting doctor's clearance to play tomorrow vs. Flyers. He wanted to see the MD today, but he – the doctor, not Komo – was sick. He says he's ready to go. Sergei Kostitsyn chose to test that theory today, crosschecking Komisarek three or four times during a particularly physical drill. Komo chuckled about it afterward, saying it's part of the practice routine. Others weren't so sure; it would have been penalized in a game almost without question. One thing's sure: Komisarek can't wait to get back into action.
Halak gets the start in goal. Carbo wouldn't commit to his goaltenders for the weekend.
The Philadelphia Flyers arrived with the NHL’s first wave of expansion in 1967-68. Unlike most new franchises, the Flyers enjoyed success in their debut season, posting a 31-32-11 record en route to claiming the West Division title.
The first matchup between the Canadiens and Flyers took place on November 4, 1967 at the Forum. The Habs lost the game 4-1.
Montreal and Philadelphia, who won the Stanley Cup in 1974 and 1975 when the “Broad Street Bullies” were ruling the league, have met five times in the playoffs. The Canadiens came out on top on three occasions, including the Stanley Cup Finals in 1976.
which team show up tomorrow? The one that can beat the best or the not so good one?
Guess they can surprise since the Flyers are hot. At least we won't get the booos on Brière. Guess Richards is a good substitute...Good luck Hab's I'll be suffering through the next RDS telecast.
