Man...did "the captain" ever **** over the Leafs

I love this guy. He wanted to retire a leaf. And he didnt want to join a team halfway through a season cause thats cheap.

Then he leaves the leafs and joins halfway through the season. What a joke he is.

I assume he would have enough money by now, more than he can even handle..

Then, why don't he just take a freakin million and join Detroit or San Jose..

How scary this would've been..

Hossa - Datsyuk - Franzen
Zetterberg - Sundin - Hudler

Sundin likes it when he doesnt have linemates

Whatever you might think about who zoomed who first (or last) between Sundin and the Leafs, I think he still has some gas in the tank and represents a one or two season upgrade for the Canucks who could sure use a top of the line centre and did have the cap room. Unfortunately for them, it still seems unlikely that this will propel them past Detroit and San Jose when the rubber meets the road in the spring. Unfortunately for the Senators, one of their upcoming opponents just got better but it could be worse; the Senators would be seeing more of him if he had gone to the Rangers.

No kidding. What an odd team to choose. He doesnt have a chance in hell of getting out of the West.

Of course...they did offer him $10 million.

"It is my belief that winning the Stanley Cup is the greatest thing you can achieve in hockey but for me, in order to appreciate it you have to have been part of the entire journey and that means October through June. I hope everyone will understand and respect my decision."

ROFL.

I'm just glad it's over finally. Sundin is so annoying.

I would have no problem changing my tune being paid 5-6 million for half a season of work.

I always thought the Canucks was the best fit for him. with Luongo in net, a solid defence, the Sedins on one line and him on another, Vancouver has to be one of the favorites to win it all. Good for them.
