Higgins thought he's a 40g scorer and then realized he wasn't. he cried, every night.

He's bound to become my favorite Habs for years to come if he keeps it on. I'd still want to see more of him. If I were Carbo, I'd start to model him right now and use him on the PK, a bit like Higgins.
Yeah then maybe he'll score a short handed goal...
oh wait a minute...

As many other posters, I have to disagree with you, he played really well... he was skating fast, going hard and made some crazy passes...

Him and D'agostini were really pressuring the defence...

Not to take anything away from the many players who outplayed him tonight, and especially Lats, SK and Komi who all had outstanding games, but I honestly think Laraque is the untold story of this team. Komi's far more valuable of course, but the difference between playing with and without BGL is noticeable. Riley Cote was invisible tonight. Hartnell was a baby. The toughest teams in the league have little respect for the Habs, but they really respect George and it shows.

He was pretty young and after his first year the media ,the fans and himself jumped on the "40 goal scorer" bandwaggon. He had a good start in his second year, got injured, missed something like 20 games and when he came back he started to try to do too much . Now I think the guy is a good hockey player, he still has scored over 20 goals in his first 3 seasons, how many young players on the habs roster can say that?

He needs to check his first year's video tape a la Kovalev.

LOL That's funny...the goalie was their best player, kept them in the game.

I think Tanguay played great tonight, he played physically all the game, and made a lot of good plays.

Like Kovalev said, the reffing is so different each game. So many stuffs went uncalled in tonight's game.

It's really the most inconsistent it's ever been. Compare the third period of Tampa to the Carolina game and then to the game tonight.

In general I find the interference calls are especially nebulous. One game blatant picks, late hits and early changes repeatedly go uncalled but last game you couldn't bump into someone by accident and not get called for running a pick. The best answer it seems is to build a dirty, nasty team that works the stupid refs and take advantage. Certainly expecting consistent refereeing ain't realistic.

Tonight game was nearly perfect. This team has a lot of potential, they are just not playing like this often enough.

The powerplay was awesome tonight ! The last couple of games have been a lot better for the power play even though we weren't getting any goals due to it. These are signs of a team that is turning around !!

Sorry to be a noob, but I never really understood how the +/- worked honestly. How can Lats be -2 if he scored 1 and the team only allowed 2? The worst he could be is -1, no?

He got both of his points on the powerplay, and the =/- doesnt count when a goal is scored on the pp.
