Kriovkrasov was pretty bad. But that was when the NHL sent an all-star from every team and it was Nashville's first year. But to Krivokrasov's credit, he was scoring at a pretty good clip the first half of the Predator's inagural season. I think he was top 10 in goals scored for most of the first half.

Buzek, Knutsen, Krivokrasov in that order

Knutsen and Krivokrasov can be argued that they were having pretty good years and half deserved it. Buzek....no excuse

If you mean EVER, I saw a bit of the 1980 All-Star Game on ESPN Classic a few weeks ago and the Flyers' Norm Barnes played in the game. He was deserving I am sure and they had a great team that year with the 35-game unbeaten streak and all but he played in only 156 regular season games for his career.

Bob Kudelski anyone from the Fla Panthers. Anyone even remember him? He was tearin it up in Ottawa when he was traded to Florida for an inaugrual season playoff push (we finished one point behind the Isles for the 8th spot), but that was his only productive season.

From this year's all-star game there were many players on the east team that were less deserving than others for a spot on the team..(I'm not saying these are the worst players I've ever seen.. I just noticed that this year there were more less deserving players on the team than ever):

-Mike Madano
-Todd Bertuzzi
-Keith Primeau
-Gary Roberts
-Marty Turco (Before the break he was horrid...)

I think there were more.. I forget..

Didnt Petr Sidorkiewiecz make the All Star game despite having like an 8-40 record with the Sens?

Also, have to agree that Lachance was clearly the worst Isles All-Star ever although I believe he only made it cos Palffy was injured at the time.

I was going to go with Kuba, but Scott Lachance sounds like a nice pick.

First player I thought of when I read this title was Petr Buzek.

This is not up there with some of the other horrible players...

but I remember Tony Granato going to the all-star game once.... and he wasn't "that" good was he?

Let's not forget, that Palffy was named to the team, and when he was injured, they let Milbury pick who the team would send. He chose Lachance in the hopes of showcasing him for a trade.

This year: Kuba, Modano, Primeau, Messier

LOL. Good one!! It was more like 8-46 but I think you are right. I think it was '93 when he made it.

While Bertuzzi didn't belong anywhere near the starting lineup, he definitely belongs at the All-Star game. At the time he was #1 or #2 in plus minus and around top 20 in points. He also played very well with Naslund and Sakic.

Mike Milbury chose Chris Nilan about 15 years ago when both were with the Bruins. Nilan didn't play because of injury.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. There was another thread where I questioned why Messier was in the game and I found few people there who agreed with that. It is good to see that this thread has better minds.

I think Primeau was a worse pick than Messier. It's nice to see an old guy make it like that. Slava Fetisov shouldn't really have made the all star game when he did, but it was a great pick. If Steve Yzerman plays again next year, I think he'll probably be there no matter how his stats are.
