Dallas needs to score here, this may be our last chance.

There's a few teams that can argue but in my opinion Dallas has the worst power play in the league. Atrocious.

The defense has just been atrocious. Niskanen has looked good once he got beyond the center red line, but he's been danced at least five times in his own end.

Both goalies have been pedestrian, though in the battle of bad Turco has the edge for allowing at least halfway legit goals and not the softies of Gerber.

God, this defense is just... it's horrendous. There's almost no redeeming quality of their play in their own end tonight.

Overtime again. We robbed them of a point because we were terrible in our own zone.

At this point I'd just assume waive Janik, bring up Fistric and pray for devine intervention so I can scratch Sydor. Hell I almost want to see Ludwig.

Smith? Dallas makes the hands of stone defensemen look good again.

That's what I'm talking about Marty. Pretty. Jason Smith? Bad defenseive coverage. No one picked up the back door defenseman. We didn't deserve a point. I think I'll go watch football now.

Yeah, the defense didn't deserve to win this, and Turco didn't make up for this.

I mean, how do you leave a guy alone at the bottom of the face off dot when he's not coming on for a change?

I don't care if Turco improves or not, this team will not win until the six guys on the blue line learn to play defense again.

It was pretty bad defense, but Jason Smith? He didn't catch Turco off guard. It was 1 on 1 and Turco lays a turd in net.

Turco, if you are gonna whine like a *****, you better not play like one. Stephan in net for the next 5-10 games. I hope Tippett has the balls to do at least that.

Janik, Sydor and Niskanen were all awful tonight. The trade for Sydor continues look dumber and dumber as Boucher improves and Sydor continues to suck. I think I could breeze by Niskanen at this point, and Janik just had no redeeming quality in this game, but he hasn't been as bad as the other two consistently. Daley looked hobbled as well. He just wasn't moving well.

It was one-on-one. I don't care how good a goalie is. Turco had to move, and any NHLer should be able to make a wrister from the bottom of the circle.

I don't care if an in-his-prime Patrick Roy was in net. This team would still give up at least four. Turco is not being part of the solution, but he is not the root of the problem.

What the hell makes you think Tippet will do that? Has he done anything this season to make you think he'll bench Turco? He either is deathly afraid of Stephan or he's so scared of hurting Marty's feelings he's unwilling to be a coach and say enough is enough. Quite frankly he's hurting the other guys in the room by not playing Stephan. If the kid's bad, so be it. Rather see if he's good enough to be a back up next year. Regardless Turco's play has been abysmal and if Tippet won't bench him he needs to be fired.

I have to say Dallas, even though your TV announcers are total homers - they're rather amusing to listen to.

Can we borrow them for the rest of the season for our own games?

Ralph and Razor are gold. Razor was in spectacular form tonight. Sorry we're not giving them up.

I would go with scared of Stephan. Heck, maybe it's for Stephan's sake, because any goalie would look like swiss cheese playing in front of this defense.

They're the only reason this horrible season has been bearable to watch. Razor went on a tangent at the end of the 2nd. Normally don't see him go off like that, so I hope you don't get the idea he constantly cries about calls.

Aww come on, we'll give you the other four gloves Gerber didn't want! Turco might be able to make use of em!

So you're afraid for Stephan's psyche but not Turco? Aren't you more worried about your franchise goalie? The guy you need next season?

No one is excusing the defense. That's why Dallas should have picked up Lundin from Tampa but there comes a point you have to try the kid rather than run Turco out there 70 plus games in a season where you're closer to bottom five in the league rather than top five. At this point what would it really hurt?
