yes I do notice the more popular fan base teams have more rumors on his website. Why he has credibility with hfboards, I don't know....

Well one would assume that these teams do not get as much media coverage therefore making it harder to get information from reliable sources.

Let's see..... Eklund rumor?

Count on it not happening!

I am not saying that anything is going to go down.. I have heard talks to see what it would take but nothing concrete.. but all of you know this.. Gainey is working the phones hard! The goal is to put a team together to win this year! and if it means giving up a few good guys to get us a great game breaker .. its going to happen... we have a lot of depth coming up... dago, maxwell, patches, torp, subban, fisch, mcdo, valentenko, emelin chips.. we are in a position of strength and I am sorry to say but some of our favorites will probably be moved...
Assume Leopold in Colorado. In Minny, you can assume that Gainey is not looking for a Gabby-only deal, and he wants a D like Zidlicky coming back as well, which makes the deal bigger and harder to pull off. In Florida, Jay-Bo will probably only move at the deadline unless there's an irresistable offer before.

Ah the famous Eklund, the Nostradameus of hockey bloggers who keeps predicting and predicting and predicting ...
someone needs to check where does he look to make all these predictions, I hope its not through his toilet bowl,
cause he might see more than a trade

of course i'm serious.

Conboy is easily the best player in that deal. Plus, they get a huge offensive defenseman named Francis Bouillon.

They'd be stupid not to take that deal.

I'm wondering what's Eklund hearing, when he says that? Looks like a total freak to me as the same as a schizophrenic who's hearing chicken voices in his head

so, can this be locked yet?

Eklund is no better than some random caller at CKOI.

We're still awaiting for the CKOI rumor to happen are we? The "once a year" CKOI or CKMF rumor that starts just to have a little more people to listen to them so they could have better BBM surveys next time....

I wrote to the CKOI people about it waiting to known when it will happen and how they're able to say such stupid things about something we care a lot....a guy e-mailed me back saying they would "investigate"....sure....Eklund probably works for CKOI....

Wild tell Gaborik to take two games off to "rest and heal his groin". I read this as "we're not going to be able to trade damaged goods"...

Perfect time to go for it. We have alot of young forward and defense ready in the next year or two. We have a ton of free agent space available.

We're not good enough right now to win a cup. Gaborik, when healthy and on top of his game, is a top 5-10 player in the league and can carry a team. It's worth a shot. Maybe you give up an upcoming free agent and a decent young player and you try out Gaborik.

If it works, then we can keep him or go after Kovalchuk and build with 2 great lines instead of 3 decent lines.

Build around Markov, Price and Komi and fit the pieces from there.

Here's hoping that this latest news kills the rumours surrounding Gaborik.

By the way, when is Higgins coming back? He could fill some of the missed offense in Minny and we could get our top 4 d-man in Zidlicky!

I stopped reading a few pages back, so, if this has been posted... oh well.

Gaborik has been given the next two Wild games off by the team. They say it's to rest his groin but really, after a player plays 20+ minutes and scores a goal - is your most skilled player... you're got going to announce he'll be rested for the next two games. At worst, you'll make a "game-time decision".

Odd.

Wouldn't it strengthen rumours?
