Vermette was brutal yesterday with Fisher and Alfie.

I remember when a Sens Dallas matchup was one that gave the Sens a real tough time. Back when Gainey was GM and they were a championship team, playing the Stars was always a test. And towards the end, we finally were starting to beat them.

But today, both these teams are in vastly different situations at the bottom of their conferences. And the Stars, injury plagued, missing Zubov, Morrow and Lehtinen, not to mention the struggling Turco this year, who it seems has sent waves of relief out to fans in the league that they didn’t package a great player and a 1st rounder for him last summer.

But the Stars, with their dreaded S.Ott, just to mess with our abbreviations for the night, have a new young player who seems worth watching in Eriksson, but should be a beatable opponent tonight. If the Sens work for it. And they could really use a break too.

I don't know, but 10 GA in 2 games seems like a problem to me.

Crosby wearing a toque, I guess he's going to collect a few hubcaps tonight.I wonder if Cherry will be going after "golden boy" tonight.

I truly think Hartsburg has no idea what he's doing.

He's throwing shart on the wall and hoping it sticks.

Here's to success.

I'm starting to think so too. But with what he has to work with...

They might as well just give Gerber the starting job, it's pretty clear they're doing their best to.

"It's about the attitude and having to work for everything we are going to get," Hartsburg said. "I thought we worked harder, but obviously, it's not enough. We can't accept it. We've got to keep pushing forward to get better."

The team is majorly lacking in some areas but he has three superstars to work with...something most coaches can only dream of.

You can get by on hard work and a strong D in junior but in the NHL you have to be able to coach offensive strategy.

Thank you. Hartsburg was never the right choice for this team.

Oh well.

The only reason Murray picked Hartsburg was because of his resume.

I mean it does look good and a lot of fans were excited about this but now you can clearly see it wasn't meant to be.

I hope Murray learned a lesson here.

What kind of ridiculous expression is that supposed to be? Its ALL about hard work if you want to win up here. And as Ken Holland has said, you build from your D out and don't necessarily need the big goalie.

What this team needs is Hartsburg in his prime on the ice. Perhaps thats one reason why he is so well suited for us now, because we are going to develop our missing pieces on defence, which he is best suited for. For example Picard, when all were shouting the new favourite word they had heard about accountability, Harts developed a player we will need.

Why isnt the game on Rogers CI? Oh there it is whew
