it would be just like the Bruins losing Chara... not having him going against the oppositions top players would really hurt Boston...

Markov is better than Komisarek at both offense, and defense.

well you guys should know...

but last year Komi had better +/-, more hits, more blocked shots, and more short-handed icetime per game...

find it hard to believe that Markov is a better shutdown defenseman when looking at the stats

If Bergero got a concussion out of that, he'll have a pretty short career, that looked pretty innocent. Things like that happen 20-25 times a game.

Well he is better in his end when he's on his game, Komi hasn't played well all year.

Is this thread really necessary? Have we become like Bruins fans?

I'm not sure what to say to this. I hope people weren't cheering when Akost got a concussion. I think this is even worse, the guy missed a whole year cuz of it.

Meh, it's a natural reaction.
I hate seeing players get hurt, but I was okay with Komisarek missing some time if it gave the Bruins a chance to put some room between them and the Habs.

Tough spot for the B's. He hasn't been scoring, but he still plays on the 1st PP and 1st PK units. He's an important player, even if he isn't piling up the points.

Hopefully it's a short term thing.

It might hurt them a little bit later in the season, but not right now because Krejci is on fire. If it became totally necessary later, I bet they could just trade for someone.

As it been confirmed that Bergeron did in fact suffer a concussion? Hopefully it is only a minor thing and he will be fine....

No confirmation yet, but it sure looked that way to me.

Being that he skated off under his own power, it's probably a very minor concussion, so I'm hoping a couple of weeks.

you can see that bergeron is the one who initiated the hit. No penalty, no head-shot.

Nothing to cheer about, its really bad news, especially for Patrice Bergeron, who was out all last year because of a concussion.

Lets hope he's ok and can recover quick. It would be a shame for such a great player to miss out every year with the Lindros curse.

Pleased to see so many of you have respect for Bergy and straying away from the Bruins hating comments. I appreciate the respect and integrity most of you are showing.

To the people mad that your fellow board members created a Bruins topic. Get over it. We are rivals, both boards create threads every so often about the other team, whether it be laughing at the other (only natural) or discussing an injury. I expect a few people to have mean spirited comments for both parties, it's normal. But to the people being civil about it, thanks.

Who ever said we won't miss him? This team will miss him tremendously. He plays all facets of the game, and very well I might add. The goals not coming is not a big deal because we get it from everyone else and he was being bogged down by Axelsson anyway. It's his defensive accountability that we will once again miss.

That sucks for Patrice, worked really hard to get back in action, however if that shot gived him another concussion,to be honest I don't see how he would be able to keep his career going, those are little hits and are gonna happen often in the game of hockey

I hope he's alright

I've heard a few people say this.
That was no small bump, he really got clocked pretty hard on the chin, you can see his neck cranck around. That was a very, very hard shot to the jaw.

Ok by definition this is a concussion there's no doubt... So that's another concussion for Bergeron and it's really bad news for him.

I understand but between me and you those things happen pretty often and if they are going to result in a concussion everytime for him I really can't see him doing that for much longer, health is more important
