personally i think spezza and weber are very close in value on the open market. the problem with that trade was stated earlier; it doesnt go with the way the team is being built. weber and suter are the foundation of their team and wont be moved barring contract stalemate problems. the only way he gets moved is if he refuses to play in nashville. and he doesnt seem the type to have that kind of character. and as much as i think spezza is an elite center, he wouldnt fit nashvilles' defense first approach. if and when spezza does leave (and pray he doesnt), ottawa should get a similar return, remember the hossa / heatly trade.

or - If the moves brian murray has made over the season/summer are any indication - forget the NHL, buy a copy of NHL 09 and focus on that games ottawa senators. Real life gms never accept your sweet trades and your salary cap can be turned off if your ever having trouble walking that line. Sign some guys to fill the real life squad and take 8 months off.
