Teddy Purcell for Rob Schremp

What say you? Both are young playmakers who can't seem to get enough done (in the eyes of their respective coaching staff) to stay in the NHL.

for those who don't know who Purcell is(I had to look it up)

http://hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=76732.

Oilers fan would ask for something to be tossed in by the kings. Schremp's stock might not be high--but it is higher then Durcell's

I don't think his stock is higher than Purcell's.

I like Purcell, but as a prospect (and in trade values) it's not that high due to his age (23) and accomplishments (AHL rookie of the year at 22 is not impressive).

Both Schremp + Purcell are tweeners - they may stick or might not stick in the NHL.

Considering most guys win it at 21 22 how is it not impressive. Its not like he won it at 24 25 years old.

Would kings like Ilya Zubov for Purcell?

I am not sure what their situation is on Left Wing, but Ottawa could certainly use a young top-6 right wing since we have.... none in our system..

Zubov has 2 points in his last 3 games.. and is part of Ottawa's top 6 atm.

Precisely. The trade is pointless. It is a trade for the sake of trading.

No thx. I'd like to hold onto Schremp. If Edmonton makes a deal to shake up the roster it'll likely have Schremp brought up to play on the 2nd line.

Well at least that's what I'd like to see.

Purcell > Schremp

At least at this point in time, and this is coming from a Sabres fan.

I am happy with Schremp.

The only 4 games he played that were not with people like Stortini he has 3 assists and very solid 2 way hockey.

I love how people hate on a prospect for not lighting it up at 19-20.

Last time I checked Schremp was 22 though...

Imo neither player has been given a chance. Schremp has a much higher pedigree and the players are virtually opposites as i heard about schremp about 7 years ago , while i didnt know who purcell was until last year. As of right now great trade for both teams i think, becuase both players could use a fresh start. Especially schremp who deserves a long long look at the national level. This guy has as much or more talent than anyone offensively.
