Any chance you want to trade us a defenseman before the game? You know, to even things out a little bit?

Early Christmas present?

No?

Damn.

Our defense will suck without Kuba. The zamboni will only need to clean one side of the ice tonight...

A win on the road, heading into the break would go a friggin long way for this team, I think, in terms of getting the confidence up and running.

We need a nasty one; one that does the pitching, not the catching...

Dany Heatley, who missed practice Monday with the flu, and Dean McAmmond,

out 11 games with pneumonia, will also play.

Cody Bass moves out of the lineup.

So the lines become something like this, maybe?

Zubov - Fisher - Alfie
Foligno - Kelly - Heatley
Vermette - Spezza - Donovan
Ruutu - McAmmond - Neil

I'm not a huge fan of Schubert playing in the top-4, so if Kuba's injury is long term at all, I wouldn't mind seeing Lee or even Karlsson called up.

Actually you can have Randy Jones for free. Buy me a pack of cigarettes and you can have Alberts too.

New defensive pairings, according to Ottawa Sun..

Picard - Volchenkov
Phillips - Bell
Schubert - Smith

Bell is going to get abused.

Is that a cleverly disguised insult? Because he had definitely been underperforming until recently.
