yeah but last year there were options going into this year.

this year it was slim pickens, Johnson and Cheezer your 2008-09 tandem?

come on, some of you would have been committed already if that was the case.

Who could have guessed Theodore was going to be this bad... I was not happy when we signed him over Huet, but you had to assume he was going to be an upgrade over Kolzig last year. Im not to mad at GMGM for signing Theodore, more mad at Jose for giving us a piss poor effort and stealing teds money.

Bad period. Nobody showed up. This team plays different with Johnson in net then they do with Theodore.

As an Avs fan, I sympathize with you Cap fans. Theodore gives flashes of brilliance, as he occasionally stole games for us. Inevitably however, he reminds you that he is no longer the consistent player he was before getting traded from the Habs. He's one of the most frustrating goalies.

They always played much tighter defensively under Johnny than Kolzig. The end result was that we never used to give Johnny the goal support we gave Kolzig.

I am. We'd be in even worse Cap hell if we signed Huet.

Why didn't we call up Lepisto? We have no defenseman out there that can activate the offense tonight.

The team looks flat and absolutely can't get away with it, especially with so many regulars out. If the first period is any indication, the rest will be a cakewalk for the Rangers.

Rangers have been playing like a starving dog on a bone. They've got their 3 goals so maybe now they'll let up a bit and with a goal tender change we will come back. It's not over 'til it's over.

I noticed Backstrom had the other "A". I don't feel like reading the thread right now, so if somebody mentioned it sorry.

You make it sound like Huet was an option.

This is the same team I watched give the Sharks all they could handle at home Sat night.

Way to have the boys fired up and ready to play Bruce.

Lepisto is in the dog house. Boudreau's at least. I think he is done. Traded at the deadline.

That doesn't bode well for johnson's hip. If Theo doesn't hold serve, it could be an interesting holiday season.

Even if he had been...

We'd be locked in for what? 4 or 5 years? instead of just this one and next.
