Upshall out at least 10 days with sprained knee

Quote:
4:53 p.m.
Flyers winger Scottie Upshall suffered a sprained right knee during Sunday's 3-2 shootout loss in New Jersey. According to general manager Paul Holmgren, Upshall will at least 10-to-14 days.

In 33 games this season, Upshall has five goals and six assists for 11 points and 37 penalty minutes
According to Flyers News On the Fly

Guess that means that he won't be with us until after the road trip or at least until we are playing the eastern conference again. Hope he gets well soon. With Metro also out this means we are now rocking two First lines and two AHL lines :/

Good. Let him sit out and rest it instead of aggravating it.

Is Nodl going to be his replacement or do we give Giroux a chance? I personally would rather leave Claude in the AHL until next year, but what do you guys think?

Anthony S. (Delco Times blog) made it sound like Nodl will get promoted.

The top two lines are rolling right now. If Giroux comes up, you either have to mess with the chemistry of the top two lines or bury Giroux with scrubs on the bottom two lines. I'd leave him with the Phantoms.

We can't waive or trade anyone, but we can call people up/send them down (if they don't require waivers) and/or put people on LTIR. Basically you can't do anything that could lead t a player changing organizations, but you can shuffle them around within your org.

ugh... hopefully its nothing major and doesnt go past 10 days. the flyers have a way of under-selling injuries to the public.

I expect a lot less penalties and hopefully our D will show up and play great.

Timonen - Väänänen
Coburn - Carle
Alberts Jones

How is Metro?

I beg to differ, our top line has been very off the last 3-5 games. I wouldnt mind putting Gioux there and Knuble down.

Rodu will undo this, but until then, I will just say that I think they're going to surprise everyone. They will be fine.

That being said, get well soon, Scotty. I shall miss what you bring to the ice.
