Call up Anisimov?

I think it could be time for this..........and obviously Potter too on D for Kalinin

they could send Korps down again and bring Ani up

Then do what they should do anyways and have Dubi at C and Drury on the Wing............I am sick of seeing Dawes and Cally with with him, they are 3rd liners and then Dubi gets stuck with scrappers on his wing

I would give it a go since Ani is scoring at will in the AHL now

Would you?

OR just deal Prucha already for a freaking pick and call up Ani to team with Korps and Cally on the 3rd line

For now it would then be

Naslund, Gomez,Zherdev
Dawes, Dubinsky, Drury
Korpikoski,Anisimov, Callahan
Sjostrom, Betts, Orr, Voros, Fritsche

We all know a deal is coming

Don't see how a player who at best will be a third line center on this team will help this team turn around. It would be a terrible move

Bring him in now will not help our offense, well no yet. I liked what I've seen from the Dawes-Drury-Callahan line in the last games, I'd give them more time, something might come out. But I would definitely do something for the third line, Dubinsky deserves better wingers.

Getting nearly a point per game doesn't mean he's ready at all. He's still got some places he can improve and we know getting first line time in Hartford will get him the chance to improve that 10 minutes per game in New York won't. And like someone already said, do not throw him into this fire. Try next year after training camp if he performs well enough.

Drury, Dawes and Callahan combined for 7 points last night.

Let's target someone else for complaints, for now.

Do you even read the posts here, or do you just post your own without looking at anything else? I don't even remember anymore how many times you've proposed trading Prucha, but I do remember that each time, someone has told you that if anyone in this league wanted Prucha, he would already have been traded. Don't you understand that he has no value? He does not play. He is a healthy scratch, and he makes 1.6 million dollars. He's scored one goal this calendar year. No one wants him.

And no, there is absolutely no point in calling up Anisimov, who by all accounts is still not ready, especially when his presence alone will not magically turn this team into a contender. I'd much rather Anisimov continued to build confidence and polished his game.

and just a question as to why we are suggesting all of these trades after a loss that had NOTHING to do with offense.

last night was clearly lost due to shelling up after the fourth goal and not pressing them like they did the first ~40 minutes of play. no reason to send away dawes and korp, they played well last night.

listen. for one korpikowski is DEFINATLEY NOT the problem. If anything he should stay up. He IS ready for the NHL level and if he has enough confidence he could be a 15-20 goal scorer. Not only that he is valuable on the penalty kill. Now they can afford to rest players like Drury and Gomez and send out players like Korpikowski who are almost as good at penalty killing. Besides the way Korpikowski skates and handles the puck he reminds me of Jagr... just he does not have that scoring touch that Jagr became famous with. He is physical and personally i think that he should stay up. The chemistry on the team right now is supposedly great. I am still lobying to trade Rosival and bring up Potter but i doubt that will happen. I want to see Potter up this year. Animisov i would much rather see next year when his game fully develops. Grachev i heard is sick but i dont know how much longer he has until he is NHL ready. I would think that Sanguietti is ready for next year as he was fighting for a roster spot this year, sort of like how Staal was when he first came up. Also why is no one talking about Parenteau last year he was the Rangers leading scorer in Hartford i dont know how he is doing this year but i know he was up in camp for a while before the season started. But back to what this post is about... i agree with potter but not so much with animisov and definatley not with sending korpikowski down.

I think they have to have the top 6 forwards on the top 2 lines........bringing him in balances the lines AND he can play with Korps who was in Hartford with him

Bahhh when is the deadline

I don't want to see ani, dz, or sangs until they are ready. I'd rather we were able to make trades for picks than rentals and quick fix patch players. Of course I think the coaching staff needs a threat from sather and an extremely short leash.
