Game News & Notes:

The Spotlight is On:

Whoever decides to step into the faceoff circle for the Panthers tonight. Florida, who is the second worst faceoff team in the league at 48.3%, will face the team with the second best percentage in the league.

PB1300s Official Game Preview

No jokes, or funny comments about tonights game, just hope that Vokoun will get a big win against his former team. He will be making his second start against his divorced parent/s. I want to wish everyone a safe and wonderful Christmas, and holidays for those who celebrate something else. As you know, I am living in Greece, and it will be the first Christmas for me outside of the U.S., and the first one without my parents, since they are back in Florida. Hopefully we all get some gifts early with a great Panther performance tonight!

GO CATS GOOOOOOOO!!!

Merry x-mas over there in Greece.

I'm going with wishful thinking, a win, a goal and a fight for Horton to start to shut up some of this trade talk.

Another vote for a Panthers win...but it'll probably be the Preds.

As you might tell, I'm not a believer yet Let them get into the playoffs, win a round, and then next year MAYBE I'll be a believer.

That was done by the Florida Panthers video team. They are really great at those videos. If only FSN had 1/2 the video editing talent...

Doubtful. We would have heard about that I would think. Unless Bank Atlantic is suffering through this financial crisis, but again we would have heard about it.

It's probably just some form of extra advertisement.

I saw the new billboard thing when I went to AC/DC the other night. It's huge, the picture of a goalie with the number taken off and the mask all red. It might be Vokoun, de-IDd?

The mask looks stupid, they just photoshopped it all red and it looks like a weird ski mask. They should have put on some stripes in Panthers colors or something, it's not like any goalie will have it exactly like they photoshop it anyway.

I'm not sure I remember the company, maybe it was the saveology thing, because of the goalie and all.

I am a Sabres fan first, but out of the rest of the Eastern Conference, I like Florida. The rest of the teams I really dislike, in fact, I hate most of them. Anyways, I wish you guys luck, and it would sure be nice to have Ballard back, he turned out really well. Nice GDT by the way.

Awesome! I like the Sabres myself. They're a fun team to watch. As a matter of fact, I can't think of any teams other than Buffalo and Washington that I do like in the East.

Nice, your backup Anderson is a great goalie from what I've seen. The shutout he had against the Sabres was pretty big and I've seen some other games where he played very well.

The Sabres are for the most part, fun to watch. I really think Thomas Vanek is by far our MVP. Without him, we'd be in last place. Other times, they are a pain to watch. We lack toughness and often get pushed around. A good center of faceoffs wouldn't hurt.

Anyways, this looks like it could be a good game. Both teams have identical records and Florida is 7-2-1 in their last 10. Panthers will win tonight 3-1.

I think if we could keep it 5v5 and when we have PPs connect on 1 or 2 then we should win... I'm saying 5-2

BTW... Great video!

I don't know how you can like Wash. I dislike them right up there with Carolina Divers. TB. would probably be 3rd or 4th on my list as I don't "feel" the rivalry like some of you.

Washington reminds me of that pretty boy at school that gets all the attention from the teachers/girls. You know he's a sleaze ball ,just no one else can see it like you can

They're just an exciting team to watch. Ovechkin is my favorite non-Panther player. The Ovechkin-Backstrom-Semin line is just so damn exciting to watch. Their announcer isn't a blatant homer and the fans are great.

Everyone loves the Caps. Haha i am actually rooting for the Caps to win the cup this year (Thats right, not the Panthers, but da caps!)

When im streaming and both the Panthers and Caps are on, i find it really hard not to stop watching the Panthers and watch Ovy-Backstrom-Semin. Instead, i get to watch Ville Peltonen and Gregory Campbell on a regular basis.

This is a huge game. We need to maintain our position, falling back at this point would be critical in any playoff hopes.
