I don't care if they are exicting to watch. Some of you actually make me sick how you cheer for a division rival. Reminds me of my brother who like the Atlanta Braves ,and does not mind the Yankees at all.

Yah man!

**** THE CAPS! WIN THE CUP? COME ON!

I'm as big of an Ovechkin fan as the next guy but to cheer for them, hell no. Every night a division rival plays, I want them to lose, and to lose bad, I don't care if it's even the Leafs that they are playing. I even get pissed when teams ahead of us in the standings win, and don't even get me started on 3 point games.

You said it best. But, then again, I'm biased. I grew up a Caps fan.

Nowadays, I'm a Panthers fan first and foremost, but often keep the Caps in my rearview.

I think that after so many years of missing the playoffs, it's natural for Panther fans to split some time rooting for other teams.

This does seem a little strange. Especially with Tarnasky coming out of Sunday's game with the game-winning assist and Nashville being his (latest) old team and all. Not only that, but Stewart getting that Sunday off instead of playing against his brother.

It would be great if Stewart came out and scored a couple goals with this opportunity. We'll see.

Nashville looks ready to go, seems like its been pretty open at both ends so far, should be a fun game.

Why is there never a penalty for a player who knocks off his own net without being pushed or checked into it??

Looks like we missed an open net at the tail-end of that power play.

Our defensive zone play looks very very shaky so far. They need to clean it up

This has been a very entertaining game so far. I've enjoyed seeing Ballard join the offense and Zednik gain confidence. I would, however, like to see Frolik play a bit more; that we were able to control the puck for some time on that (awful) powerplay only when he was on the ice is just too glaring to ignore.

We seem to be playing pretty well. Buzzing around the net, but our defensive effort is lacking. We need to pressure the point more.

Rinne is playing well, but we catch him when he moves laterally. If we move the puck around we'll beat him.

Horton has no confidence right now, and you could see it when he hesitated like 3 times before taking that wrister in the slot. He needs a goal badly.

Yeah. Even if it is an easy tap-in in front of the net. It's important that Horton gets at least a small reward for his efforts. Otherwise, well, he'll probably revert to his lazy play.

Why is Frolik on a line with Stewart and McLean?

That was beautiful. He's easily the most gifted rookie finesse forward we've had since Huselius.

When Frolik smiles, he looks a bit like Federer.

I was thinking early in the game that no player has improved as much since the beginning of the season as Frolik has. I also thought, probably no other forward except Booth, is as dangerous. And then I thought, he and Booth are two legitimate future stars.

Then Frolik scores. Makes me look smart, doesn't it? Sure wish I'd posted this before the game started, however. Then it wouldn't look like such an afterthought.

Not to mention Booth should have netted one as well.
