Not the most well worded question.

I'll bite and say Ovechkin, Iginla, Vanek, Kovalchuk, and Kane.

This is obviously a waste. Not one person can explain themselves. Yes or no answers that's bascially it. People just make plain comments and are asked for answer, then just disappear or ignore the question.

Anyone that doesn't like the deal the OP made have a better idea?
NOT for Keith "I don't show up in the playoffs" Tkachuk.

The only players I want off the Penguins are the players no one wants. If anyone wants Satan and Fedadeko, that's cool. Otherwise I'll just stick with what we have and hope Therrien gets canned or lucks into a strategy that works.

Here's the main point. The Pens gave up a first and some bodies for AN IMPROVEMENT to their club last year. While Tkachuk is gritty, something the Pens need, OVERALL, he is NOT an IMPROVEMENT to the Pens long-term. If I'm moving Kennedy or Staal or GoGo, I'm looking for something that is gonna be with me for a while.

So, a player that can stick around for a few years and grow with Crosby, Malkin, and Staal (if he's still here) that plays the type of game Tkachuk does with younger legs would be the target.

The ONLY thing I would want from St. Louis is Brad Boyes and they aren't going to give him up for Kennedy and a 1st, which I would do so take Tkachuk and St. Louis off the plan.

Yes, if only the Pens were like the Sens and had those 2 fantastic wingers instead of their current situation, they would surely have a better chance of winning the Cup.

Listen, Tkachuk's an expensive, ineffective playoff winger and Kennedy's an emerging player who we have on the cheap for the next couple years. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure out why Pittsurgh fans would reject the deal.

I'd move Talbot before I'd move Kennedy. Kennedy may be a 3rd liner, but he's pretty skilled. He does have some decent offensive upside.

I doubt the Blues would target Kennedy anyways we have a similar player in Oshie. A pick(most likely) or help on D(less likely) would be the key targets. Of course it would depend offer to offer.

You wouldn't take Kessel, Parise or Semin for him? Really?

*not that any of those teams would be dumb enough to trade a young 1st liner for Kennedy at this point

Kennedy was on pace for a 50+ point season and that was with little to no PP time and stuck on the 3rd line. He is signed to a bargain 750k ish contract for an additional 2 years after this. He is a ball of energy and should not be the piece that is used to get a rental.

Send guys like Dupuis, or even talbot, or some of our AHL'rs that wont get to crack our lineup.. STL seems to like them for some reason. I'd like Tkachuk but not at the cost of Kennedy. He is a lot more important to this team than people realize, I don't think its entirely coincidence that our team has totally blown donkey balls since he's been injured.

Sure he was on pace for 50+ points, but Satan was also on pace for a 40-50 goal season at one point too. In other words I'll believe it when I see it. I think people are fooling themselves if they think Kennedy is going to break 20 goals on a regular basis.

You seem to be on an island compared to the rest of the Penguins fans on their willingness to give up a hard-working, chippy, third line right-handed winger with good third line offense on a good contract for an aging player who has all of .1 more PPG this season and has a history of turning invisible come playoff time.

Kennedy definitely has more offensive upside than Talbot. Does that mean he's going to be an offensive weapon? No, but he'll flirt with 40 points on a consistent basis, which is pretty damn good for a checking line winger who's specialty is all things that aren't offense.

I know, I know I hate using the dreaded 2nd rounder but I think it makes sense here. How much is Tkachuk worth? Is he still worth a first rounder?
Not bad

What about, Talbot and a 4th

Well we'd better trade him before we can find out. After all, it's not like we could use a player exactly like him on a contract exactly like his.

Talbot just signed an extension, he's not going anywhere.

One guy I like, he's streaky like Tkachuk, is Fedotenko.

How about:

Tkachuk

for

Fedotenko and a 2nd/3rd?

That could be workable.
