First thought: Just put these in the trade proposal thread.

Second thought: Hell no. Why the hell would Dallas give up Lehtinen for a 2nd pair defenseman with an expiring contract?

Third thought: What is your fascination with Fortunus?

If, HUGE IF, Dallas trades Lehtinen, he will be one of the hottest commodities at the trade deadline. If you're not offering a first or a very good prospect your proposal is falling on deaf ears.

I'd jump on it if it was Regehr straight up for those two. And seriously, why Fortunus?

I believe he is NHL ready, a real sleeper. Watching the 2008 AHL playoffs, (Manitoba still lost) he just absolutely shut down Gilbert Brule and Derrick Brassard. I came away very impressed. He is very solid defensively, does not bring much offensively, but is loud and vocal, and just shuts guys down. A great free agent signing by you guys over the summer

Well the fact that our blueline's been decimated by injury after injury, and he's yet to see a single game in Dallas, should tell you he's rather low on the Stars depth chart, and will most likely spend the year in the minors. If any team bothered to ask for him, I wouldn't be surprised if Jackson jumped on the first offer.
