You guys really think that after all of BZ's comments of respect to Fedorov (and his inclusion to the Channel 1 Cup squad), he won't be invited? I'd rather have him centering Ovechkin & Semin for at least 12-14 minutes/game rather than Tereschenko.
no Afinogenov ?
he is having a good year in Atlanta, and every single game hes improving, and i put him on Kovys line as it seems theres a special bond between the 2 of them, same reason i have Semin as right wind with Ovy
i would take Afi any time over guys like Morozov or Kovalev--
before 2 last bad years he had, he would have been a lock for the olympic team, now he is back to his previous level of play---
only player to take his spot on right wing 2nd line is Radulov-- who if to be played on 3rd line has a chance of playing with Saprygin if Bykov decides to bring him to Olympics ( we know they played great at WC)
not only each guy deserves to be on those lines but every single line has at least 2 players who have a history of playing great with each other
I dunno whether I would choose Tereshenko over Fedorov even considering the fact that it's a complete line from Ak Bars. I also really dislike Frolov, I think he was majorly overrated and is a floater, I would either put Saprykin for chemistry or Sushinskiy 'cause he's having helluva season, may be Kovalev too
The Canadiens are in line for an early Christmas present with the return of defenseman Andrei Markov.
Markov, arguably the team’s best player, has been out of the lineup since some tendons in his right leg were severed in the first game of the season in Toronto. The original prognosis was that he would be out until February.
But Markov’s recovery has gone much more quickly than expected. He has been practicing with the team for a week and expects to see the doctor Monday to get a clearance for contact. It’s unlikely that he’ll be in the lineup Monday when the Buffalo Sabres are in Montreal, but he’s hoping to play Wednesday at New Jersey or against Minnesota on Thursday.
